ABOUT THE MOD
SAT is built mostly from hardware and water cooling parts. It’s assembled together using an acrylic disc design creating this satellite structure. Attached to the sides, there’s foldable radiators representing solar panels.
My main focus has been to design and create a project that stands out regarding technical solutions. This includes how the harware and cooling make sense in all places as design and function will work together. The disc array makes a solid structure together with components and wings. It may look unstable but the smallest piece at the right place makes all the differens.
I also want everybody to know how cheap and simple this project is, with regards to building material. Opal and mirror acrylic cut with laser, but could be done with jiggsaw and drill. 8 pieces of 3D printed hinges and stainless M4 screws and washers. Rest is hardware/water cooling and my design.
