I totally relate to your mod build and the extensive use of styrene. We call it "trovicel" which you might of heard as a manufacturer's brand or pvc expandido (expanded pvc?). I have shown the noble properties of the material in modding: rigid (enough for most mods), bendable with little heat (vs. acrylic), paintable without priming, very easy to cut, a finish as smooth as metal and easily glued (common pvc pipe glue), oh and the best point, CHEAP.

As long that it is not load bearing, it can be used just about anywhere. What your mod shows is how it looks layered which is hard to do as each layer is different according to the effect desired. The only hard thing to do is the interior surface of small circles which no matter how much you sand and try to fix with putty, resists a perfect finish. I saw a few with this defect but you really have to look closely, very closely to notice.

An innovative and fancy use is as covers to your heatsink and vid card which just ties in with the rest of the mod so well. So is it a swan? Yes, although not literally but yes, it is.

BTW what model is your Radeon? For what is seen, it could be a single slot 6790, not too shabby.

Best of luck on making a simple and discrete case into a hot mod.

Cheers and Saludos
