<> Finally..........

Finally, I could do some updates as tensions are running high and the closing date is just around the corner. So, as you all were craving for updates, here it is

So here it goes, enjoy my kinda short update..........:( but lots of effort were put into it.

Man, very hot and sunny day, but the work must go on as I promised.

IMG_1183.jpg

First off, here are the materials that I'll be using, maybe some won't be achieved today, but I'll still continue it tomorrow. Very sure

And yes, here's the case from the last update. Note: where's the pvc?

IMG_1184.jpg

Materials/tools

IMG_1185.jpg

IMG_1186.jpg

I said lucky on my last post right? well,

IMG_1187.jpg

yes, the plank is indeed in a very bad condition, I said lucky cuz I found it in a nearby abandoned garage, made from wood and I kinda......."borrowed" one of the best planks I can find there so I won't need to buy another one. since it is still usable and a few couple pieces more of wood >< Economical and environment friendly right? reuse usable products, save the environment :yessir:

IMG_1188.jpg

First off, I'm going to measure the length of the base of my case........

IMG_1189.jpg

Hmm........54 cm.......

IMG_1190.jpg

IMG_1191.jpg

The breadth........

IMG_1192.jpg

22 cm.....

IMG_1193.jpg

IMG_1194.jpg

sunbathing...........lol :lachen:

IMG_1195.jpg

what ever, lets continue

so here's the plank,

IMG_1196.jpg

let's tag the length and the breadth on it.

IMG_1197.jpg

IMG_1199.jpg

draw a line......

IMG_1200.jpg

the breadth...

IMG_1201.jpg

tag it here....

IMG_1202.jpg

done

IMG_1203.jpg

draw another line......

IMG_1204.jpg

man, so hot......some water will do.....

IMG_1205.jpg

sweat all over the plank..

IMG_1206.jpg

lets saw it!!

IMG_1207.jpg

some progress.....

IMG_1208.jpg

more sweat, it's my hand........

IMG_1209.jpg

about 15 minutes later

yessss!! it's out

IMG_1210.jpg

I think the cut looks nice......

IMG_1213.jpg

IMG_1214.jpg

will it fit?

IMG_1211.jpg

nicely.......

IMG_1212.jpg

now, let's trim off the breadth......

IMG_1215.jpg

IMG_1216.jpg

looking good.....

IMG_1217.jpg

almost there.....

IMG_1218.jpg

out :D

IMG_1219.jpg

so here's a piece of long wood...

IMG_1220.jpg

according to my plan, I'll need 4 of those and with a length of 16 cm, sorry, not the pic

IMG_1221.jpg

so let's mark out 16cm....

IMG_1222.jpg

IMG_1223.jpg

draw a line to the mark,

IMG_1224.jpg

saw it,

IMG_1225.jpg

very nice cut out there, i think....

IMG_1228.jpg

some scratches......

IMG_1229.jpg

what ever, lets do it 3 more times..

measure, mark, draw a line, and saw it.......I don't wanna put too much of pics just to show me doing the same steps.....

IMG_1230.jpg

IMG_1231.jpg

IMG_1234.jpg

IMG_1235.jpg

20 minutes later

all four of them........

IMG_1238.jpg

lets measure the bottom again...

IMG_1240.jpg

in this case, I'll only need 20 cm for the length and same breadth

IMG_1241.jpg

mark it on tha plank,.....

IMG_1242.jpg

IMG_1244.jpg

IMG_1245.jpg

argh......a little bit more......

IMG_1246.jpg

yay, its out

IMG_1247.jpg

whoa.....lots of........what do you call it?

IMG_1248.jpg

Well then, it has been a very tired thus exhausting day. Anyways, that's it for today and hopefully I will.....continue tomorrow and next Tuesday. :D so stay tuned and thanks for following my worklog, see ya'll really soon.

Hello guys,

today, I'm gonna be doing a little hammering to the planks and wood of last week.

IMG_1249.jpg

so here's the plank I sliced last week and the wood pieces

IMG_1250.jpg

IMG_1251.jpg

IMG_1252.jpg

IMG_1253.jpg

IMG_1254.jpg

ok, I'm gonna use 4 of these small (s)nails and 4 more other big nails for the base

IMG_1255.jpg

2 on each wood

IMG_1256.jpg

and here are the bigger ones

IMG_1258.jpg

lets start hammering them 8)

IMG_1257.jpg

IMG_1259.jpg

IMG_1260.jpg

IMG_1261.jpg

IMG_1262.jpg

IMG_1263.jpg

last one........

IMG_1264.jpg

done :D

IMG_1265.jpg

And yes, I tested their stability with about....200 Ib of weigh lol.....:baaasmile

worse mistake i did ...... "slap in the forehead" cuz the wood shifted a little today. well the wood's base is ---- on one side and \ on the other side.......

IMG_1266.jpg

what ever, lets dig in and see what happens. and if I can fix it?

IMG_1268.jpg

it actually came out pretty nice....

IMG_1269.jpg

oh crap..........its gonna rain .....NOOOOO~~~!!!:(

well.....lets speed things up a little

it rained, but the show must go on ;)

IMG_1272.jpg

well, at least it fits nicely

IMG_1271.jpg

so, I'm gonna use the same breadth reading taken last week and transfer it to a thin piece of plank sliced from the piece just now

IMG_1277.jpg

and I didn't show all the process as the rain was.........bad

im gonna hammer 2 nails on both sides of the small plank

IMG_1278.jpg

IMG_1279.jpg

hammer them in a little....

IMG_1280.jpg

and walla :D

IMG_1281.jpg

well, that's just about it.

Stay tuned :D

IMG_1106.jpg

Finally something up to date.......a hot glue gun :P

IMG_1107.jpg

from left to right mechanical pencil, pencil leads & rubber

IMG_1108.jpg

the bench like thing from last week......

IMG_1109.jpg

OOoooooh.......crazy sharp razor for cutting through acrylic..

IMG_1110.jpg

so here's my planning,

the left view , front & back view of the bench like thing. very simple

too simple I might say.....

Attachment.png

and here comes the careful planning for 1 day ++

Aha, it's about 9.30 p.m. Eastern time here, rain is startin' to stop, actually it's just some drizzle.......

First off, I'm going to be measuring the length of the ....thing....

IMG_1111.jpg

54 cm?

IMG_1112.jpg

the width......NOTE.......the width is same as the height of the thing...!!!

IMG_1113.jpg

20 cm

IMG_1114.jpg

transfer the readings to the acrylic

IMG_1115.jpg

marking

IMG_1116.jpg

IMG_1117.jpg

IMG_1118.jpg

IMG_1119.jpg

line drawn

IMG_1120-1.jpg

IMG_1121-1.jpg

please resize the image and sorry but I had to use flash as there's no good lighting

IMG_1122-1.jpg

lets cut this babe :gunner2:

IMG_1123-1.jpg

IMG_1124-1.jpg

again.....marking and drawing.....

IMG_1126.jpg

halfway done cutting

IMG_1127.jpg

ok, up and out:D still, it needed some sanding....so, hows my first cut?

IMG_1129.jpg

sanding...........again, 800 grit

IMG_1130.jpg

nicely done

IMG_1131.jpg

ooooohhhh, night already

IMG_1132.jpg

still, there's still work to be done

this time, instead of drawing these lines one by one, I decided to draw all of them at once= saving time and increasing work done

IMG_1133.jpg

IMG_1134.jpg

so, lazy to show all the cuttings as they are the same.......here's the second one out

oops, flash...

IMG_1135.jpg

proof.... :gotproof:

IMG_1136.jpg

I know, its a pizza box

one more piece left,

IMG_1137.jpg

axis-y of the acrylic ( cut)

IMG_1138.jpg

out :D yay!!

IMG_1139.jpg

all 3 of em'

IMG_1140.jpg

so guys, I couldn't continue my work as the lighting gets poorer so I'm gonna continue on tomorrow's morning. cuz its labour day here LD

no need to go out :D

so stay tuned....

and yes, one more thing.

guess what am I using for the overkill fan grills? I bet you won't even know it XD try it :)
