Need a Good Celeron Cooler...

Recommended Posts

I'm planning on changing the case of my old Hp system and the cpu is currently being cooled by a single fan (the only fan in the entire case) from the back of the case and its diverted to the cpu through a vent..without that vent the heatsink gets really hot...so i was thinking of changing the case and improve the cooling of the case..so i'll need a cooler...Here's a link to the system specs..http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?product=307585〈=en&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&docname=c00006810

Its my old system and i'm gonna change the case and the way it is now if i change the case i'll need a separate cooler for it..cause the only fan in the stock hp case is diverted to the cpu heatsink...and for a celeron it really gets hot without that vent...i'm really setting the system for my brother and its just something for him to hang on to...And also the case i'm getting is a centurion5 so i have to make it look good...

Before you get too carried away, have you checked that the board is a standard ATX board, and the power supply is ATX standard?

Some manufacturers of pre-built systems like to use non-standard parts (so if you decide to upgrade in the future, you *must* goto them to get the parts because only they stock them - and they'll charge a fortune for them), if HP have done this then it possibly won't fit in the new case...

Yeah, I noticed that :D ! I opened my friend's HP once, because he was worried if he needed more cooling. Then, surprisingly, a Cooler Master CPU cooler was there  ! So I said "You're in good hands" :P .

Haha, that happened with mine. It was overheating but it was because of the duct and the rear fan was blowing in instead of out.
