Hey I just joined the forums to see if I can get some help on this issue. I bought this PSU from Newegg.com about 2 months ago and it has been working fine since. There's one problem though, It all of a sudden the fan in it is a little loud and can be quite annoying when surfing the web,it doesn't bother me when gaming though.

I really don't want to RMA because that would be week(s) without power.. I thought of replacing the fan or putting some 3-in-1 oil on the fan and see if that helps, but I know that voids the warranty unfortunately :( .

I might just sell off the PSU to a friend and get a CORSAIR PSU the 750HX modular one.

If anyone could help me, that would be great,

Thanks

I think I'm to late now :( omg!!!!!! I just opened up the PSU, and tryed a different fan and went back with the original i had to tape the wires. Viod Waranty sticker undone, not gonna lie

So I guess this means no Replacement?

I am afraid so, once the sticker has been removed, the warranty is voided

well that sucks, I should have thought about it more before opening it. I think its the honeycomb grill that's on the PSU that's making the fan have turbulence, which is making it sorta loud especially when turned over bottom mounted. What would be they best fan for that position if I were to replace the fan?

I have the Coolermaster CM 690 case (love it) and has the PSU mount at bottom, the fan doesn't make the noise when turned up right but does the opposite when I do so.

It must be a defective fan. I have actually laid my case over on it's side a few times to make sure the fan is spinning because it's so quiet.
