CoolerMaster RealPower M520 red led lights up once?

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

A while ago I bought the M520 PSU. Everything works fine, but there is one thing I worrie about.

When I put the power cable in the PSU and turn on the computer the red led lights up once (1 second):?:

After this (I leave the power cable in the PSU offcourse) the red led stays off every boot.

It only happens at the first boot after reseating the power cable.

I don't do weird things with my computer. I only remove the power cable when I'm installing new hardware or removing all the dust inside the case.

Is this normal? A test or something, if the led still works? Or is there an other problem?

More people who have this short blink with their M520 PSU?

I searched the forum, only found this topic: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=9052&p=78227 ,

could not find an answer there...

Greetings,

I think the PSU is broken. The red led is blinking once at "every" boot now.

And I only added a new gfx card (MSI Radeon 3850 256MB) :?

I'm going to take it back to the shop.

Greetings,

Jonathan

Well, according to that link you posted, this seems normal for that type of psu. As long as everything works fine, I don't think its anything to worry about...
