OH dude, you're golden then. But don't forget you clearance on the back end for cables and what not, so if you have a hutch or are against a wall, factor in more than the actual case depth. I'd say at least another 6 inches to be able to add/remove cables and to allow air to escape the rear fan area.

Well I'm still golden. I've got like 5 feet or so until I hit the wall behind the case :D

ATCS 840 + Windowed Side Panel it is! ($200 + $40)

Good luck. You've made a wise choice.

I would like to see them update the Cosmos to include some of the features in the case like the removable motherboard tray, the cutout for the CPU backplate, the added fan to the front, a few other minor modifications. I REALLY enjoyed the Cosmos. Guess it'll become my fall back case now as this one has more 'opportunity' with it.

I bought this case yesterday and it was a monster seriously. Damn excellent case and killer looks. Cooler Master could have given a pre-drill hole to mount 140mm fan at the rear and in the bottom of the case. Well thats not a problem as I did it myself.

I would like to see Cooler Master coming up with side panel to mount 230mm or 140mm fans on it.

Just unpacked my new case yesterday, it really is a nice case but I guess most of you already know this :) What does everyboby use to c lean the extereor of their cases and can I use something like Armoral Car Interior Wax to polish and protect the finish?

EDIT: I have the Black case.

I would probably avoid windex as a rule of thumb when it comes to electronics and devices that house them.

A good damp lint free cloth. Maybe even a very mild soap solution, but no more than that.

Thanks for the tip. My current case (Antec 300) takes fingerprints pretty easily too, but they are easy to remove.

Anyway it looks like I'm ordering the ATCS 840 today. I'll get the windowed side panel and a cold blue cathode as well. I can't wait!

Any word on an "all black version" or updated model?

If there is, what kind of updates from the current can we expect?

My wishlist

Small side panel, similar to HAF932, without the mesh lines.

Possibly a side fan, or at least mounting options for one.

Holes for PCI slot screws.

CoolerMaster logo etched in

and of course, all black.

I've only registered to show my serious interest in this awesome case! Like many others, I'm also waiting desperately for the ***ALL BLACK*** ATCS 840 version (outside, complete inside and, don't forget .. the backside!) of this case. Why CM did not release the 840 in all-black RIGHT AWAY is beyond me, it's one of their flagship models that is destined for great success but now many ppl are holding off their purchase of this near-perfect case because it's NOT all-black! Completely black cases are what ppl want at the moment!

Besides that I agree with the wishlist above and, to add to that list;

1. from what I've been reading here and other places, it looks like some of the holes on the tray could have been positioned better for easier cable management.

2. the side panel window that's now officially available for the 840, it seems the window on this panel is placed too much to the right side of the case (showing the sides of the drive brackets), IMO it would have been better if the window was placed more to the left side of the case, concentrating the view on the mobo area!

3. and lastly, a handle/handles of some sort to handle this massive case a bit easier would be welcomed by me!

Anyway, could anyone from CM tell us when we can expect the improved ATCS 840 "Black Edition" in stores? I really want to buy this improved all-black version but if it's still many months away I will probably buy a different case from an other brand. :?

I got my ATCS 840 and set it up yesterday. Yeah its huge, my GTX 260 looks puny in there, don't even ask about the 9600GT. The case is VERY quiet, the 230mm fans are silent, you can't hear them unless you put your ear to them. The only components that are audible are the GTX 260 (fan speed set to 80%), and my Logicys 120mm radiator fan. I have a question about the 230mm fans - if you plug them into the MOBO (my fan controller doesn't work with it), do they automatically go to 700 RPM? They are spinning very slow and the top ones don't seem to be exhausting much air.

The aluminum plate that covers the front 230mm fan is pretty sharp - be careful! It cut me a few times. It is also difficult to put it back on. Other than this I don't have any complaints for the case. The ATCS 840 is the best case out there in my opinion. I should get the windowed side panel by next Monday, I ordered it this Monday. Lastly I'll get a cold blue cathode, this should look great. Cooling is fantastic, I use the default 230mm fans (one intake on the front, two exhaust on top), along with a bottom 120mm blue LED intake fan, two blue LED 120mm intake fans in the HDD cage, blue LED 120mm exhaust fan on my radiator, and the COOLER MASTER 120mm exhaust fan in the external air duct. Sadly this fan only spins at about 1050 RPM, I hope the CFM rating is good. It is however the quietest 120mm fan I've ever worked with.

Dragan, the cable management cut outs are perfect for ATX motherboards. My PSU cables go right under the MOBO tray. Cable management is the easiest in this case. The included cable tie-downs helped a lot. There are no carry handles as you pointed out, but carrying the case is rather easy due to the aluminum construction. It weighs just under 30 pounds, but the size of the case alone can become an issue when carrying it. It is easier if you have long arms like I do.

The window on the windowed side panel is rather small and positioned closer to the middle. Here is a picture.
