Fluid Cooling Conversion Project

Taking the system out of this case and installing in bottom case modded for fluid cooling.

[/img]1.jpg

This case frame/interior has been painted Black Cherry Metallic. The clear coats will be applied in 2 days. The left hard drive cage has the rivets filled/smoothed to show off the raptors in the front window similar to the above case. This color should go nicely with the purple fluid and UV's. The outside of case remains Black for now. The next ongoing project pic will show the cut out and grill for the Thermochill PA120.3 rad/fan assembly in the top of the case. The Case Power on/off insert bracket is getting its own unique mod and will be cut and repainted and remounted with a different face plate and buttons. This is my third original Stacker and the best case for modding, case air flow and component arrangement I have found.

The system is currently running E6850@3.6GHz, (450x8 and 1800MHz FSB) Asus Maximus Formula, 4gigs Dominator 10000 @ 1200MHz (3:4), XFX 8800GTX XXX, Extreme Gamer, Dual Raid 0 150 Raptors, PCP&C 1KW. Vista 64.

Orthos running only to show system temps under load on pic.

Hopefully fluid cooled it will run 4.0GHz?

Case is a little dusty from sanding the front cover plate so it would clear the fan grate. Wiped it off, but still see some in the pic.

Top tube is fill tube and enough length tucked in behind rad to pull out and fill. Bottom barb goes straight to pump and side bottom barb rad "in".[/img]

Pics of completed project. For some reason the flash turns the purple fluid red (you can see spots of true color in tubes). Have included pic that shows the leak test with a closer to true fluid color. Still have to zip tie PS wire bundle that goes out the back of case and back in under the reservoir mount. Still have to install UV lights. Can't be happier with results (have not had time for full testing yet) as the NB under load has been aroun 33C to 37C and prior to fluid cooling it went to 57C when system OC'd. All components (CPU,NB and Vid card) staying around 30C idle.
