My PSU - Cooler Master Power Extreme 550W output specifications as below:

AC Input 115V/230V 8 A / 6.3 A 60/50Hz

DC Output +3.3V +5V +12V1 +12V2 -5V -12V 5Vsb

Max Power 25A 25A 16A 16A 0.8A 0.8A 2.0A

The total combined Wattage or Amp "not given"

My system:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 (2.66 Ghz)

Mainboard Gigabyte P35 DS3

1 DVD ROM

1 SATA Hard Disk

1 PCI Sound Card (Sound Blaster)

2 X 1 GB RAM

Is there sufficient power for ATI X1950PRO (PCI-E)? The requirement for X1950PRO as everybody know is "450 Watt or greater PSU (with 30 Amps current on 12V rail). Should i upgrade my PSU?

What do you think is 550W PSU enough when components need just little over 150W during full load?

Thanks for the advice. Just upgrade to new PSU - Silverstone Strider 560W. Hope this will more than enough power for X1950PRO.

Has math changed completely since I was in school or don't they teach it anymore? :banghead:

550W is over 3 times as much as those components need. X1950Pro's peak 3D consumption is "mighty" ~66W.
