question on temps

I have a CoolerMaster Praetorian case with a Pentium 4 2.80

processor with OCZ Premier 1GB ram. My motherboard is an ASUS P4P800 Deluxe. CPU fan is the packaged fan that was supplied by Intel (retail pkge.) I

'm using ASUS Probe softwate to check my temps.

CPU temp averages 44-52 and motherboard temps average 33-36.

Is this a standard temp range for this type of setup or a little high???

Wayne,

Your CPU temp is a little high for a P4 2.8. Is it a Prescott or Northwood? The CPU temp you're getting is it idle mod or running intensive gaming?

You should run Prime95 and see what the avg. temps. are. It's a great stress program and will test to see if your computer's stable.
