20+4 pin question about rs-430-pmsr

hi, I have a 430 watt real power PSU, about a year old. I recently bought a new motherboard which requires a 24 pin connection. But my power supply seems to have only a 20 pin and not the extra 4 pins. The website shows the same product as having 20+4 pins. Whats going on and what are my options?

thanks

Requires? I doubt it requires the extra 4 pins, go ahead and see for yourself, you plug in the PSU and it'll boot up smoothly.

Do you have the 20+4 pin connector as show on picture? (on the top left side)

Than it should fit.

no I checked the webite against my PSU and it does not have the 4 extra pins.

I have an asus p5b motherboard and it seems to stress that I need a 24 pin connector. I also came across some website which claimed that plugging in a 20 pin connector into a 24 pin socket could cause it to melt. I have a 7900 gs pci express video card.
