Glad to see that everything worked out for you.

In some twisted irony, my motherboard died today and will have to be RMA'd. :D:):|:evil::lol: ahh man.

Did chipset cooler fail and burn southbridge?

Just looked your signature and I can tell chipset coolers of those Asuses are junk (got to third HSF in one year)... at least mine kept resonating shriek as warning.

Very close, I'm at 273x10 and have been using folding@home non stop for the past few weeks. Fan was "working" but not working hard enough, at least this is what I suspect based upon the fact that it won't get to the opening asus screen. POS board IMO, I got it right when it came out and have had to RMA the board 3 times now. Custormer service is great though, they always put a hold on my credit card and cross ship, I'll bet I have my board by wednesday if call them today.
