Hi I am a proud owner of a new wavemaster chassi. But I have some heat problem. Just built my first computer and this is what i got

Pentium 4 3,2 ghz with zalman cpu cooler

Abit AI7 motherboard and antec tru 480 power.

If the side of the chassi is of i get a temp of 54C on the cpu when the side goes on trhe temp goes up to about 60C. If i open in the front for the 2 80mm fans i get 54C. Looks like the front fans wont get the air that they need to cool the chassi. What can i do need some help?!!( bigger front fans maby) or are these temps ok.

Mike.

Those temps are about right from my experience. What are you using to read the temps? If you're using the ABIT EQ it does read temps a bit higher than they actually are.

If you you don't need the top mounted panal for USB, Firewire etc, take it out and put a fan up there, that will help with the air circulation a bit.

hope this helps

Hey Eskimo88,

I had the same issues with my WaveMaster so I recently cut a custom window on the panel and added a 92mm fan at 2200rpm/37cfm that sits right on top of my CPU's heatsink and fan.

Before the added fan;

Case temp: Idle 22-23c, Load 23-23.5c

CPU temps: Idle 36-37c, Load 39-40c

After adding the fan;

Case temp: Idle 18-19c, Load 20-21c

CPU temp: Idle 33.5-34.5c, Load 36-37c

I'm running an AMD system 200x11 @ 1.525v

Made a big difference for me and all that by just adding one fan in the right place.

Hope this helps :D

ur system is hot cos u dont have any decent intakes, the wavemaster doesnt have very good frontal intakes. not enough airflow, and since the IO iso n the top theres no extractor gfan for hot air, i really think it could have been designed slightly better.
