I just bought an extra hdd of 400 gb. That makes my total around ~900 GB.

But damn, 3,2 TB and still to little space

My stacker has no window, only mesh panel, so you don't really see the coolblock :P

I know... but i like to have most of my data directy accessible...

And i had a few bad experiences with cd's and dvd's that went bad within 3 years... lots of data lost.... so now it's all on HDD & tape & dvd )

(I still burn dvd's but i add 15% par files.

That improves the chance of 100% data integrity (after 3 year) from 61% to 99,7% !)

Just me swimming upstream again

I have some 7 years ago burned CD-Rs which still give practically perfect scanning results.

You have to use good quality blanks, Plextors should be all made by Taio Yuden and so be good, also Verbatim makes good blanks.

Also use more conservative writing speed than maximum.

Here's free tool for scanning burned discs, not all drives just support scanning errors.
