Aquagate Mini R120 Review by Osiris

Hi guys,

Sorry I haven't been around for a while. I've been very busy with work.

Here's the review I promised for the miniR120. Installation was very

simple and set up was self explainatory. The only problems I ran into

were positioning the tubing in a way that does not kink them and disrupt

their flow. Initially when I tried to install it the memory sticks were in the

way of the tubing which left me no choice but to reverse it. That gave me

limited space to work with the fan and the radiator placement but it was

the best option. With a little tweaking, everything worked out just fine.

The unitl runs like a dream...very quiet, as long as you keep the fan at

the mid speed. (Turn it up and it sounds like a jet liner taking off!)

Instead of using the supplied fan, I used another fan that I really like

which pushes out 89 CFM at 36 DB. The temps that I am getting with the

processor set at stock speeds are 36C on idle, and 41C at full load.

With my workload, I haven't had the time to overclock my processor yet.

I'll let you know about that as soon as I get some time.

Mindless, to answer your question about the hose length, they are approx. 11 1/2" each.

Overall, I am very pleased with this product. Truely CM has made water cooling easy to install and maintainance free.

If there is anything I would change it would be to make the hoses clear with a cool colored dye running thru and I would

make the fan clear and with LED lights. That way, you can cover a larger market and it would look cool too.

Here are some pictures I took of the project. Hopefully you guys can get a good idea how this product looks.

Lookin' good. I think it was made of that kind of tubing so there would be no evaporation as opposed to using clear stuff.

So is it possible to change the tubing and the liquid..? Or would it disrupt its performance..? This piece really looks promising so i might get one for my intel setup :D
