      AM4 Socket Support   04/24/2017

Due to technical issues, the topic on "AM4 Socket Support" has disappeared. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and we are trying our best to have this topic back up as soon as possible.   As we read in the topic, there is a lot of discussion going on when the new brackets will be arriving. We can tell you now that the brackets will be ready for pre-order on our CM Store EU tomorrow and will be ready for shipment around the 16th of May.   You can continue the discussion in this newly created topic:

I would like to use the MasterLiquid Pro 280 paired with an ATX power supply and a PWM fan controller in a cooling application without a PC motherboard.  However, I cannot find a 4-pin PWM fan controller; I've only found 3-pin controllers (some of which claim to use PWM over the 3-wire connections).

If I use a 3-wire PWM controller with the 4-wire MasterLiquid Pro 280, will I damage the control circuitry on the pump or fans?

If I use a 3-wire voltage-varying controller with the MasterLiquid Pro 280, will it damage the pump or fans?

If so, could you recommend a fan/pump controller for me to use?

Thank you,

Adam J.

The pump and fans will work fine, but will run at max speed. (unless you set a lower voltage)

It won't damage the pcb.

Yes, that can work.

One note: the fans might give some clicking sound - but this was fixed on later production models I believe.
