What is a Heatshrink?

Heatshrink is easier shown than explained  take a look at this pic of one of my sleeved power supplies.. the clear plastic-looking stuff at the end of the sleeving and over part of the connectors is heatshrink. It basically holds the sleeving in place at the ends.

i see, so your supposed to use a tie wrap over them or not because the CM cables dont.

No no, you really shouldn't need zip ties. Zip ties are a little redundant, unless you have a really large mass of wires. Using heatshrink alone should be enough for most things. When you heat it up (indirectly with a lighter is best), it ... get ready for this ... shrinks! In doing so, it seals the ends of your sleeving wire, protecting it.
