Wattage meter malfunction?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I've just got the Coolermaster Real Power 450W PSU, I installed everything correctly but it now seems like the wattage meter doesn't go above 150 Watts, even during heavy loads. Is this possible, or does the meter has a malfunction?

Second, is there a program in which you can watch your current watt-usage?

Thanks in advance,

Sander Parijs

That can't be right. Either you've installed the PSU incorrectly or you have a faulty meter.

I also would like to find a program that displays your PSU's wattage. Anyone know of a program like that?

I have 3 hard drives, about 5 or 6 fans being powered and my P4 Skt478 2.8GHz, and a Sapphire Radeon 9600xt 256mb and the readout shows only about 120 watts being used.
