Can MasterAir Maker 8 use only one fan?

Having trouble getting it to fit with my memory configuration;

Is it okay to run the MasterAir with only one fan?

I imagine the performance will be lessened, but to what point?  Would I be in danger of burning something out?

Hey

Welcome to CM forum

I also dont know if one fan can make you system in danger

Run in one fan i think is not too good ....

But you can try run one fan and monitor it by software .. and see how the result .. if you temp not reach 70c i think you save .

If OC well you will be in danger ... i guess ....

Any solution i suggest you to contact cooler master support service, they will help you out .

Hope this can help

There is 2 things that you can do:

  1. Increase the height for the default fan (those can be moved)
  2. Change to 12CM fans - brackets are included inside the package.

For sure you can run with just one fan, but since Maker 8 can be installed after rotated 90 degree
Recommend you turn it with air exit facing up, this should avoid RAM interference.
