Hello everyone,

There are some things I need help with. So, first of all, my PC specs:

i7 4790k at 4.1Ghz w/ CM Hyper 212EVO

GTX 970 by Asus Strix

Cooler Master N500 mid tower w/ 3x 120mm coolers on top front and back

The question:

I would like to overclock to 4.6GHz, but the 212EVO is not enough. At this frequency I get 100*C at full load state-dangerous temp.

I have thought of purchasing a better CPU cooler. The Noctua NH-D14 is good for my needs, but a liquid cooler would be even better.

My problem however, is that I do not know if the N500 case fits the NH-D14, or any other liquid cooler. For example, would the Corsair H100 or Cooler Master Seidon 240 fit my case, or I would need a modification? Cooler Master says that the case fits up to 162mm height of cooler. The NH-D14 is 161mm. So, what do you think?Buy a 240mm liquid cooler or the NH-D14? Btw, is there any support address to contact Cooler Master and ask them myself?

Thank you in advance,

George

At that frequency, you should go water cooling - air cooling most likely will not be enough.

The 240 will fit - a quick search on Google shows an image of what looks like a Seidon 240M easily installed on the top dual fan mounts of the case.
