Mate, I'm basically building the same PC as you apart from using a z170 extreme instead which is the same size I believe.

How quiet is your case with that hxi, h110i and 970?

Finally can you fit an optical drive in that second slot even with the h110i installed as well as that device that comes wiith the motherboard?

I'm looking to buy tomorrow I think.

Its a shame the case isn't a bit longer, would have been perfect.

Nice, when the pc starts there is some minor sound from the fans spinning up. After that the build is silent. If i'm gaming and the 970 has to work hard i can just hear it when i turn the game music/sound off. So i'm verry happy with the noice (or lack of it) level of the system.

The way i installed de watercooling set (tubes to the back) it seems i could put 2 cd/dvd drives in it.

Good luck on getting yours tomorrow and happy building.

Brilliant, so I shouldn't have any trouble with the optical and that OC palm? have you sorted that problem?

Great to know about the noise, tbh I don't mind noise when gaming, its when I'm browsing or watching vids that I want silence.

Excellent. Thanks for quick replies

Yes the 2 should fit i think. Didn't have time to sort the OC gadget out yet.

As i'm typing this im thinking of an easy solution. I could take a shortcut and install a dvd drive in the lower one and install the OC thing on top with double sided sticky tape. That should keep it in place. Going to order a black drive right away. :)

I haven't used the OC tool yet but from what i saw you can connect fans. I connected all fans to my motherboard as it offers loads of fan connectors.

Brilliant. Are you happy with the HXI too? RMI HXI  AXI too many to pick from lol. I just want quietness and reliability

Yes verry happy, i wanted an i for the link system. The RM is the budget version and its gold rated, the others are Platinum and semi pasive.

Where the AX is top of the line and expensive the HX is nearly as good for a much lower prize.

Hi Mastercase 5 owners!

I really like the Mastercase 5 Pro, I consider buying it and I'd like to ask for your expertise.

This is my setup:
Asus Maximus VIII Ranger

http://www.asus.com/UK/Motherboards/MAXIMUS-VIII-RANGER/

Intel Core i7-6700K

http://ark.intel.com/products/88195/

Kingston HyperX Savage DIMM Kit 32GB, DDR4-2666, CL13

Samsung SSD 950 Pro 512GB, M.2

http://www.samsung.com/global/business/semiconductor/minisite/SSD/global/html/ssd950pro/overview.html

Samsung SSD 850 Pro 512GB, SATA

http://www.samsung.com/global/business/semiconductor/minisite/SSD/global/html/ssd850pro/overview.html

Corsair H110i GTX

EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti Hybrid Gaming

http://eu.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=06G-P4-1996-KR

I don't need 2,5" and 3,5" drive cages on the right side and would not install any for better airflow and more room for the tubes of the H110i on the top right of the case. I thought about mounting the 280mm radiator on top of the Mastercase 5 Pro, the fans below pushing air through the radiator out of the case.

The dimensions of the EVGA radiator are 150mmx120mmx27mm plus the 120mmx120mmx27mm fan making a total of 270mmx240mmx54mm.
My question is if there is enough space and clearance to mount the 120mm radiator and the fan of the EVGA GTX 980 Ti Hybrid on the backside of the MC5 Pro? Or would the fans on the radiators block each other making it impossible to mount the radiators and fans on top/on the back of the MC5 Pro at the same time?

This is my first watercooled system, thanks for your comments.

Maybe you can consider to mount the 280mm radiator at the front

then the EVGA Radiator can fit at the back :)

Hi ScienceBoy!

I considered mounting the H110i radiator at the front top 2 fan intake slots and on the third slot on the bottom a fan pulling air into the case. The EVGA radiator at the back as you mentioned and the 2 remaining fans at the very top pulling air into the case.

I thought the airflow and the dissipation in the first scenario with 3 fans at the front, pulling air into the case over the motherboard and M.2 slot, exiting the case on the back side and on top through the radiators would be better? If there would be enough place to mount the radiators   :)
