Dusty Environment

Recommended Posts

I am looking for an industrial looking ATX mid-tower case designed to work in an extremely dusty environment (an office in a cotton processing plant). Any ideas??

Hi Kip,

In a very dusty environment you should consider going with a positive air pressure setup, I think you can considering some of the following cases:

-Scout 2 Advanced (lots of dust filters) - http://gaming.coolermaster.com/en/products/cases/scout2advanced/

-Cosmos SE - http://www.coolermaster.com/case/mid-tower/cosmos-se/

-CM 690 III - http://www.coolermaster.com/case/mid-tower/cm693/

-HAF 922 (200mm fan in front) - http://www.coolermaster.com/case/mid-tower/haf-922/

The idea behind positive air pressure is to create airflow with more air going in to the case from the front and sides and have lower air outflow that is exhausted out the rear and top fan slots. Positive air pressure helps with reducing the amount of dust build up in a case which will work better in the environment described by you.

Cheers.
