CM has teamed up with a company called CoolChip to bring a new type of cooling to market. The special thing about this cooler is that the heatsink itself is the fan. The heatsink/fan spins and the fins on the unit move air around kind of like a blower-type fan that is common with stock GPU cooling. This allows the spinning portion to move the air as well as provide cooling surface area. The most important part of the mechanism is that it is designed to allow heat to transfer well from the base into the spinning heatsink. So, in theory, the fan should be able to have better cooling in a smaller amount of space. thumbsup.gif

At least that's my understanding of it :)

Hope that helps :)

JayzTwoCents's video is a bit uninformed though. His description of how the cooler works isn't very accurate.

The PCPER video is more accurate and detailed :P
