Hyper 212 EVO

Hi, I am very interested in Hyper 212 Evo as my new cpu cooler. I hope someone can help me with following problem.

My case is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=17C-0007-00002. From the data I was able to found it seems that maximum cpu cooler height able to fit in that case is 155 mm. Has anyone tried to fit this cooler in that case? Does it fit? Would it be wise to cut thru the case side, so that tops of heatpipes can fit?

Tnx in advance.

It Is a good question.  I have an ATX case with an ATX motherboard - ASUS P8H77 - V LE. I would like to know if this fan will fit and if it attaches the way the stock fan did.

I just got one for my PC.

It's a great cooler, about 1" bigger than a normal ATX case.

So you can't get the side back on, unless you cut a hole in the case.

It will probably block your memory slot nearest the CPU too, but not if your memory is short.

You replace the stock fan mount, so need access to both sides of the mobo.

I managed to fit it in. End of one of the heatpipes was a 3-4 mm longer than the rest of them, so I had to drill a hole in the side of my case so that it can be closed. I closed that hole from the outside with a plastic filler. The cooler is great, very quiet and my cpu temp has droped some 20 degrees at fuul load.
