  1. To make the V8 cooler AM4 compatible, I grabbed the Cooler Master bracket RR-ACCY-AM4B-R1 from Micro Center. The other bracket RR-AM4B-H212-S1 will not work; there is a large stud from the screw at the center of the X that will push against the V8 block. Anyways, You will need to file the edges of the bracket down slightly as shown in the photo to accommodate the slightly wider V8 block. Once you do that, clean up any of the metal filings and you're good to go. The thumb screws will need to be loosened quite a bit because the V8 block is pretty thick. Hope this helps anyone interested. Also, I did replace my stock fan with a Noctua NF-F12 PWM fan. Works great. Fan removal procedure can be found in the Cooler Master Knowledge Base, but it's pretty simple.
  2. Hi, I have a CM V8 for a while now and the fan started making grinding type noises. I want to replace it but is there a fan out there that I can use as I see the CM site the fan is no longer available? If a fan is not available, which new product would be a good replacement? thanks, Leland
