Hey All! I have a MSIZ97 mobo with an Intel I7 4770 chip in it. Recently upgraded intel fan to the CM 212. As I type this, no problem, fan is running very quiet. I am not gaming right now or doing anything outside net browsing. The side panel is also off. However, my issue is that the fan gets very loud. When I go into the MSI bios, can't control. Also, tried controlling the fan speed from the MSI Command Center, still no luck. The chip is not running hot. Welcome any suggestions to troubleshoot this. Thank you!
I have built plenty of computers but unfortunately I've never had to use RGB lighting other than a keyboard. The case came with a connector which looked like a micro molex to a fan header cable from the control unit but I'm unsure where it should be plugged into on my board. (It doesn't seem to want to go into a fan socket) Picture of my board attached.
The wiring for the panel is made up of twisted pairs. Each pair has ( 1 ) colored wire and ( 1 ) white wire. I have interpreted the colored wire as the power ( + ) and the white wire as the ground ( - ). The case is a Cooler Master HAF X Full Tower, model number RC-942-KKN1. Is this correct? Thank you for your help.
