  1. High Static Pressure Fans

I am rather confused regarding what is considered "high static pressure" fans. The Masterfan Pro 120 Air Pressure RGB Fan has a rating of 1.45 +/- 10%. The Masterfan Pro has a low of 1.45 and a top of 4.6 Are the two fans being measured the same way? Why does RGB kill static pressure?
  2. Hello! I have a computer with an i7-6700k using cooler master neptune 240m as the CPU cooling. The pump is on fanheader while the radiator fans are connected to another CPU opt fan connector on the motherboard. I have an idle temp of 29-30 degrees celsius when the room temp is on about 24-25 degrees. When I run it on max load for extended periods the temp keeps around 65+ degrees. Is this normal? So far I have not adjusted any settings on the CPU or the fan setup. No overclocks having the CPU on 4,0Ghz. I'm not sure about voltage setting but I will check later. I think it is on stock settings. I'm just wondering if these temps are normal for this cooler + this CPU? The 65+ degrees appear when the CPU is used 100% by rendering softwares which I do occasionally. I installed the cooler causally watching several instructions to do it properly. The temps never go above 70 degrees as I know of. Maybe 65-68 but not more. I'm new to watercoolers in general. I just want to be sure if I did something wrong or not. And if these are nominal normal temps. And what kind of tweaks and settings I should do. This is in general how the whole installation looks like if it can help the case. The fans are set as outake on top of my system. I have 2 intakes on front behind dustfilter. And another corsair blue LED outake. All the non radiator fans are 140mm and the system runs cool in general. I also have a question regarding the installation location. I remember being really careful while installing this cooler. (as they said in several videos before) and noticed a few people have managed to brick their motherboard installing it. I'm not sure if I have damaged or not even though being very careful while installing. The computer has worked flawlessly since last December when I did the installation/upgrade. I have an example in the images that makes me worry. The one of the pump with a red arrow. Should I worry? I have moved the computer around several times for installing smaller new fans or gadgets in the several months since last december and to show my systems guts to friends. Not noticed anything wrong system wise and no errors at all. I'm just not sure what that looks like.
  3. 7900X in Cosmos II — Maximum Rad Size?

I'm about to start a 7900X build using a Cosmos II, and it seems that you need to make every effort to keep the CPU cool. I have also seen a few posts in this forum where people have had issues putting large radiators in the top of a Cosmos II case, so I am hoping to find someone with atual experience. At the very least, I'd like to use a 280mm AIO. Has anyone done this, and especially with a 7900X? Is it a straight forward fit, and if you did use a 7900X, what temperatures did you get? BTW I need to keep all the drive bays. That was one of the reasons I chose to use this case. TIA
  4. Hi, i am interested to buy the MasterAir Pro 3 for my dell Inspiron 580 computer and cool my Xeon x3470. Will that cooler work on my pc with that cpu? I found this review on Tom's Hardware that were found issues with the shape of its contact surface possibly not fitting certain chips. Waiting for a reply.
  5. The Maker 5t is an amazing case, build quality is fantastic and looks magnificent, however, the airflow is very restrictive, Changing my case has led my CPU to be about 6 degrees hotter than before, removing the front panel does drop temps but man, if the panel restricts airflow, then why have it there in the first place.
  6. Will the hyper 212 led turbo, which is 163mm high, fit in my case that is 205mm wide?
  7. okay, first off I have 2 questions.. first off.. i am reading that this is supposed to be on full speed at all times? using hwinfo64, the cpu fan is the fans on this AIO correct? well i dont know if what im using came with my motherboard or what "asus rog crosshair VI hero" but there is this thing thats on my screen a circle with an X.. if I click on it it has silent, standard, turbo, or full speed.. i normally put it on standard when doing stuff that does not need alot of cpu.. but if i game or something i put it on extreme or tubro which takes it from 700 rpm to 2000 when its on 2000 there is a whineing noise im guessing from the fan, or fans.. so my first question is... I have this running to the cpu2 fan header using the y splitter that came with it.. am I doing something wrong? am I supposed to leave it on extreme (2000 RPM) at all times? my 2nd question is.. im wanting to upgrade, replace the fans.. with 2 of these https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608051&ignorebbr=1 NF-F12 iPPC-2000 PWM Fan with Focused Flow™ and SSO2 Bearing they are 4 pin.. first off will these be good for me to use? they are 4 pin.. will the splitter that came with it work? cause I dont remember if the fans that came with it are 4 pin or 3 pin... and if it wont work.. what splitter will i want to buy? do I want a splitter that hooks two 4 pin fans into one 3 pin? or into one 4 pin? i want to make sure that i buy the right thing cause its going to set me back $50 I have added an image of my hwinfo64 which shows all the temps and stuff.. this the max on the temps and speeds was gaming on battlefield 1 just in case this will help you answer my question i have asus rog crosshair vi hero amd ryzen 7 1800x 2x8 (16GB) corsair vengeance ram 3200 m.2 evo ssd 2TB SSHD windows 10
  8. Hello! I have MasterCase Maker 5, Asus maximus Hero 8 motherboard, Noctua NH-D15 CPU cooler and Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! Extreme edition GPU. I am wondering, if there is a possibility to instal GPU vertically with Vertical Graphics Card Holder Kit, or there will not be enough space between CPU cooler and GPU?
  9. I really thought these were going to be the best fans on the market. Theyre a combination of a good coolermaster fan reminiscent of the xtraflo fan from the 212 evo, and RGB LEDS which can never go wrong. The big issue is noise. These things sound like a lawnmower. The noise gets worse at higher rpms and much better at lower rpms so its not bearing noise, its a form of coil whine. Theres also control issues such as the fan not even going to 0 rpms on pwm, and if you use voltage, the leds turn off as you lower the voltage. The PCB is too bloated. The design has 4 super bright leds, a pwm mosfet, probably some led mosfets, 4 giant radial coils, an overcomplicated driver and finally, the leds are powered off of the fan header instead of the simpler solution of just using RGB power.
  10. I'm preparing a new build and have bought a Silencio 652S case and the Seidon 240M liquid cooling unit. I will mount the radiator at the top of the case and I have two questions: 1) With the radiator mounted at the very top of the 652S and the fans mounted under the radiator inside the case, thereby pulling air from the radiator, must I keep the top plastic cover off the case in order to expose the vents or can I keep the cover on? I'm pretty sure the answer is to keep the cover off but I want to verify this. 2) If the top front cover is left off, is it preferable to push the air through the radiator to the outside of the case?
  11. Haf 932

Got a cooler Master haf 932 that's six years old.How do I remove cooling tank so I can change the water
  12. I want to run 9 hard drives in the Haf Stacker 915R and 915F for a total of 18 drives. These drives will almost never be used. As an example lets say at most 1 hard drive will be used a week, and that the hard drive will run for less than 10 hours or less for the week. My question is how to cool them? I could just put 3 fans in each case for awesome cooling, but this would be VERY wasteful running all those fans when it might be days days/weeks/months between hard drive uses. It might be better to have something temperature or use based... While I have ideas and have researched some, I was curious if anyone else tackled this situation or one like it, and if so how did they do it? Thank you! -Bill Full Description of the scenario: I bought the three piece Haf Stacker (935+915F+915R) with the intention of using it as a media server with 24 drives connected to it (six in the 935, Nine in each of the 915's) The 935 will be the day to day storage powering the DVR, and will see it's hard drives used nearly 24 hours a day, but the 915's will have hard drives filled with media archives, meaning they will see VERY little use.
  13. Recently I bought a Hyper EVO 212 CPU cooler and installed it, swapping it out with the stock cooler that came with my AMD FX-6300. The motherboard I have is ASUS MS A99 evo R2.0 and the RAM I am using is Corsair vengeance 4x2 Gb 1600MHz. During the installation process I got a trace amount of thermal paste that came with the evo on my motherboard but I cleaned it with some isopropyl alcohol on a paper towel. After installation I hooked the computer back up and pressed the power button, and though everything seemed to be working, I was getting a black screen and the DRAM LED (which I don't think had been on before) was solidly illuminated. I thought it had something to do with the ram because the cpu cooler was pushing against one of the sticks, so I removed that stick, but no screen came on. I looked up online elsewhere of the mounting bracket fitting tighter to the motherboard I have than other motherboards, and that I may have even crushed the CPU by tightening it down too hard, but I'm not sure how to check for that. My computer was working just fine before this. I am able to switch between HDMI 1 and 2 which shows up on the screen but not much else. I'm not sure what to do. Has anyone else had this problem or found solutions? Attached is a vid of my computer when its turned on. I'm thankful for any help. _omputer_not.working-
  14. JetFlo: Screw Type

Hello, I've recently purchased a JetFlo 120mm fan to mount on my case - rear mount. Now that I mounted it, I can't secure the side panel completely. It touches the JetFlo's round screw head and leaves a gap between side panel and casing. Can you guys let me know the type of screw it has? So I can find similar screws with a flat head and then secure the side panel. I tried the screws came with my casing and used for other case fans, but they didn't go with JetFlo. Came across similar screws, but not sure if it has the same thread or not - M3 / M4 / M5 Thanks.

  19. Hello! Is it possible to install an Intel Liquid Cooling System BXTS13X in an Elite 110 case? Here's a link to the installation guide of the BXTS13X: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/processors/000005785.html Cheers, R.
  20. CM (Standard) Fans

I Upgraded my system and as case took the CM Storm Stryker. i5 Processor and re-used my Old Cooler. Wat wonders me is that all though the case looks Good and works fine I can not buy any of default mounted Fans in (so far) any known stores! Further more I wanted to modify my cooler with 120x120x15 mm Fans preferably with a White theme. And Yes CM sells some of these size Fans but only connected to a Cooler which I dont need. Is there a shop where I can find the mentioned Fans anywhere in Europe? Thank u,
  21. Seidon 120v is running hot

  22. Hi Guys Just wanna know ( as the title says ) - Will the V8 GTS CPU Cooler fit in the Antec P280 White Window Case? I intend to buy it but im not sure if it'll fit in the case - please assist
  23. Hi ! I've got a tower case HAF-XM, in which I mounted the following: NZXT KRAKEN X61 for the AMD FX 9730 processor, on a ASROCK Xtreme9 with 32GB Gskill 2400 ram, 2x EVGA 660 SC and few HDD My idea now is to cool both VGA with a 2 set of Seidon 120 (or NZXT KRAKEN X31) with 2x NZXT KRAKEN G10 on the back of the HDD rack (between the rack and the PSU). Question is: Would they fit both radiators and fans? as there is this plastic cover to hide all the cables in between the PSU and the HDD cage, not sure if would fit. Another option I'm considering is to mount 2x Arctic Cooling Accelero Hybrid II. Any advise you could give me? Many thanks for your support guys! L.
  24. Ok, before I screw this build up, all parts are Cooler Master. Haf 912 case with MegaFlow 200mm Fan & Seidon 120v cpu cooler. The 200mm fan will not fit as an exhaust at the top of the 912 case with the liquid cooler installed, right? Looks like not even (2) 120mm fans will fit on the top even if I have the Seidon cooler in push or push/pull config (2 fans). Only (1) 120mm will fit. I guess I just wasted money on the 200mm fan. I already have one in the front. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
