  1. Hello! I have MasterCase Maker 5, Asus maximus Hero 8 motherboard, Noctua NH-D15 CPU cooler and Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! Extreme edition GPU. I am wondering, if there is a possibility to instal GPU vertically with Vertical Graphics Card Holder Kit, or there will not be enough space between CPU cooler and GPU?
  2. I really thought these were going to be the best fans on the market. Theyre a combination of a good coolermaster fan reminiscent of the xtraflo fan from the 212 evo, and RGB LEDS which can never go wrong. The big issue is noise. These things sound like a lawnmower. The noise gets worse at higher rpms and much better at lower rpms so its not bearing noise, its a form of coil whine. Theres also control issues such as the fan not even going to 0 rpms on pwm, and if you use voltage, the leds turn off as you lower the voltage. The PCB is too bloated. The design has 4 super bright leds, a pwm mosfet, probably some led mosfets, 4 giant radial coils, an overcomplicated driver and finally, the leds are powered off of the fan header instead of the simpler solution of just using RGB power.
  3. I want to run 9 hard drives in the Haf Stacker 915R and 915F for a total of 18 drives. These drives will almost never be used. As an example lets say at most 1 hard drive will be used a week, and that the hard drive will run for less than 10 hours or less for the week. My question is how to cool them? I could just put 3 fans in each case for awesome cooling, but this would be VERY wasteful running all those fans when it might be days days/weeks/months between hard drive uses. It might be better to have something temperature or use based... While I have ideas and have researched some, I was curious if anyone else tackled this situation or one like it, and if so how did they do it? Thank you! -Bill Full Description of the scenario: I bought the three piece Haf Stacker (935+915F+915R) with the intention of using it as a media server with 24 drives connected to it (six in the 935, Nine in each of the 915's) The 935 will be the day to day storage powering the DVR, and will see it's hard drives used nearly 24 hours a day, but the 915's will have hard drives filled with media archives, meaning they will see VERY little use.
  4. Recently I bought a Hyper EVO 212 CPU cooler and installed it, swapping it out with the stock cooler that came with my AMD FX-6300. The motherboard I have is ASUS MS A99 evo R2.0 and the RAM I am using is Corsair vengeance 4x2 Gb 1600MHz. During the installation process I got a trace amount of thermal paste that came with the evo on my motherboard but I cleaned it with some isopropyl alcohol on a paper towel. After installation I hooked the computer back up and pressed the power button, and though everything seemed to be working, I was getting a black screen and the DRAM LED (which I don't think had been on before) was solidly illuminated. I thought it had something to do with the ram because the cpu cooler was pushing against one of the sticks, so I removed that stick, but no screen came on. I looked up online elsewhere of the mounting bracket fitting tighter to the motherboard I have than other motherboards, and that I may have even crushed the CPU by tightening it down too hard, but I'm not sure how to check for that. My computer was working just fine before this. I am able to switch between HDMI 1 and 2 which shows up on the screen but not much else. I'm not sure what to do. Has anyone else had this problem or found solutions? Attached is a vid of my computer when its turned on. I'm thankful for any help. _omputer_not.working-
  5. JetFlo: Screw Type

Hello, I've recently purchased a JetFlo 120mm fan to mount on my case - rear mount. Now that I mounted it, I can't secure the side panel completely. It touches the JetFlo's round screw head and leaves a gap between side panel and casing. Can you guys let me know the type of screw it has? So I can find similar screws with a flat head and then secure the side panel. I tried the screws came with my casing and used for other case fans, but they didn't go with JetFlo. Came across similar screws, but not sure if it has the same thread or not - M3 / M4 / M5 Thanks.

  9. Water Dispenser - Scratch Build

Hello all, You will be seeing updates in this post from time to time. This is the work log for the "Water Dispenser" scratch build. You know what water dispensers are... this time, you will see a water dispenser computer. The goal is build a great case with the following features: 1. Fit 360 radiator 2. Custom water cooling 3. Simple and elegant 4. Looks like a water dispenser (of course)
  10. Hello! Is it possible to install an Intel Liquid Cooling System BXTS13X in an Elite 110 case? Here's a link to the installation guide of the BXTS13X: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/processors/000005785.html Cheers, R.
  11. CM (Standard) Fans

I Upgraded my system and as case took the CM Storm Stryker. i5 Processor and re-used my Old Cooler. Wat wonders me is that all though the case looks Good and works fine I can not buy any of default mounted Fans in (so far) any known stores! Further more I wanted to modify my cooler with 120x120x15 mm Fans preferably with a White theme. And Yes CM sells some of these size Fans but only connected to a Cooler which I dont need. Is there a shop where I can find the mentioned Fans anywhere in Europe? Thank u,
  12. Seidon 120v is running hot

Hello everyone, i'm sorry if my english is in somewhat wrong I buy a Seidon 120v ver2 and at idle my temp a pretty high... http://i.imgur.com/hfEWJ4O.png i did what mohd noh did for is setup : put the fan on system fan header and the pump on cpu fan header My spec are : Case : Zalman Z11 Hf1 CPU: Amd A10-7850k Mobo : MSI A88X-g45 PSU: Cooler Master B700 GPU: ASUS Radeon HD 7870 ( i know it can be bottleneck by the cpu but i wont change any of the cpu or gpu ) RAM : 12Go 1333mhz ( kingston but just took it from an old acer pc, i will change it by real one, one day ) My old AirCooling ( Raijintek Pallas ) Gave almost exactly the same temp wich is quite strange for water cooling, even for an entry AIO i hope you can help me to figure out what is the problem, thanks
  13. Hi Guys Just wanna know ( as the title says ) - Will the V8 GTS CPU Cooler fit in the Antec P280 White Window Case? I intend to buy it but im not sure if it'll fit in the case - please assist
  14. Ok, before I screw this build up, all parts are Cooler Master. Haf 912 case with MegaFlow 200mm Fan & Seidon 120v cpu cooler. The 200mm fan will not fit as an exhaust at the top of the 912 case with the liquid cooler installed, right? Looks like not even (2) 120mm fans will fit on the top even if I have the Seidon cooler in push or push/pull config (2 fans). Only (1) 120mm will fit. I guess I just wasted money on the 200mm fan. I already have one in the front. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
  15. Project Copper build

So, I wanted to make another build for a good while now, and this time make a build log, and maybe enter a competition or two. My background for this is simple.. I really don't like the normal cases, even though they are different, they all look they same to me. I really liked the idea of that flat wall out-of-the case build. so that is what i went for in this one. Lets start: My hardware for this setup is: 1 x Asus MB Crosshair V Formula-Z 1 x AMD CPU FX8350 2 x AMD GPU VTX3D Radeon R9 280X 3GB GDDR5 2 x Corsair 8GB 2133MHZ DDR3 Ram 1 x Corsair CX 750w PSU 2 x Kingston Hyperx 3k 120GB SSD 555/510 MB/s in Raid 0 (Windows) 1 x Seagate 2000GB 7200RPM HDD (storage) from my sponser, whom this wasn't possible without: 1 x Alphacool NexXos UT60 420mm Radiator 1 x Alphacool Coolplex pro 10 LT Res. 3 x Noctua NF-A14 iPPC-2000 PWM Fans And of cause some fittings and some cable sleeving. Coolerkit is a Danish company selling some good quality hardware for air and watercooling, and most other parts for doing your own pc modding, with cases, PSU's, cables and others. The Idea: This idea is going to have a lot of copper in it, Copper pipes, copper rad, copper paint, I think it will look really nice with the black and the little red that is on the Mb. As mentioned before, I am going for that flat wall out-of-the case build. The watercooling loop will be made with copper pipes, with the cooling units going in parallel instead of serial. Unlike some of the others making these nice custom builds I don't have a lot of experience in making 3d renders, so you will have to do with a sketch i made, remember, that its only a sketch!, the complete idea, of how everything is gonna look and how its made, is in my head, and some of it I'll have to figure out along the road. Stay tuned for more updates on the project when I start building (just waiting for the last package wich contains the watercooling units and pump) PS. I'm Danish, so I apologize for the bad English
  16. Nepton 280L vs Nepton 240M

Which is better? Nepton 280L or Nepton 240M? In many reviews, Nepton 280L cooling performance is a bit better than Nepton 240M. However Nepton 240M is amazingly quiet. (Cooling performance is my main concern.) I would like to ask, if the pump of Nepton 240M is the same one as Nepton 280L? Or which one is more powerful? I am wondering if I choose Nepton 280L, and replace it with another quiet and powerful fan, will I get the best performance with the quietest system? Thanks for any inputs.
  17. I am currently building a quiet i7-5820k/Silencio 652s based workstation but am undecided about the cooling solution. Normally I would just bang a big Hyper 612 v2 or similar in there as the quietest solution. However I want this box to be smallish, quiet and movable, and a big air cooler can damage the motherboard when moved. So looking at all in one water cooling - the Neptune's seem to be the best quiet/budget solution - so: 1. Neptune 120XL or 240M - Which would be quieter in the Silencio 652s case? Would the 120XL have to work hard and therefore be noisy? The 240M would be top mounted and therefore "directed" at me sitting right next to it. Would this make it noisier? Overall it's a quieter solution I'm after rather than an overclocking one - the machine is for work at home not play. 2. Motherboard Gigabyte X99-UD4 vs Asus X99-S - which handle variable voltage on the water block better? Dual Windows/Hackintosh build so gigabyte card easier - but.. Asus has fanexpert so automatic variable voltage to the water block is possible to keep it quieter. Anyone got experience with variable voltage on the water block with these manufacturers? Any and all thought welcome - I'd rather get it right as I won't be buying another home workstation for years!
  18. Cooler Master Seidon

I bought a Cooler Master Seidon liquid cooling product for my PC build. My i7 4770k tends to run at 90 deg C during games like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. And being afk it can run anywhere between 55 and 70 deg C. Is there something wrong with the liquid cooling? Is there any way I can fix it? I just need some advice. Here is the product.
  19. Hi, I have just purchased a seidon 120m and it does not say socket 1150. For the socket 2011 I need to use different standoffs so will these be ok for 1150?
  20. Detecting coolant leaks

Coolant leaks can be extremely expensive and time consuming if not identified early. I didn't notice mine (Seidon 240M) until it had leaked on to my motherboard, GPU's, and power supply. Most of my hardware is black, therefore it was not readily apparent (even with the large viewing window on my Thermaltake Level 10 GT case). The best and least expensive fix I could recommend is including thin attachable sleeves that could be placed anywhere on the cooling tubes that are absorbent and change color when whetted by coolant. The other option would be a style of drip tray that is absorbent (not something that collects the coolant as this would be bad when turning the case on its side if the customer hadn't noticed the coolant collecting) and also changes color when whetted. The latter might restrict airflow and be cumbersome to attach depending on space allowance therefore I would recommend the former. I have read many times (my case included) that leaks mainly occur either on the tube fittings or the tubes themselves. This would allow the customer to place the attachable sleeves or drip tray at the lowest point in the system and give them an early, and readily apparent, warning sign to avoid further damage to there components. If you read this and agree or have found another inexpensive solution please post below.
  21. Two 120mm rads on Elite 130

Would it be possible to mount a 120mm radiator/fan combo on the hdd side mount of the elite 130? I was hoping to use an R9 295x2 in the case, which would use up a 120mm cooling slot for its attached water cooling loop and leave the cpu without water cooling unless there is room for a second rad. Does anyone know if this is possible?
  22. Enforcer cooling

Hello, lately I received (finally) my enforcer case (without the side fan). I've noticed that it comes with the Megaflow front fan and another pretty simple rear fan. I wanna know if having 1 Megaflow front fan and 1 Megaflow top and 1 Jetflo rear fan is enough for overclocking or should I maybe use x2 Jetflo in front, x2 Jetflo in top and x1 Jetflo in rear? Also, I wanna get the Seidon 120XL and I would like to know if I can fit Seidon 240M in my case on top or not? And if I will get 120XL, can I change the fans to whatever fan I would like to put there in the size of 120mm (something like SickleFlow)? Thank you!
  23. Intake Fans

I have just purchased a antec GX 700 case, It came with 3 exhaust fans but no intake fans, I purchased 2 cooler master sickle fans for the intake but have no idea which side of the fans should face outward, can someone give a novice a hand, please!!!!
