  3. Hey guys! It's been a while since I participated here in this prestigious event every year. The last time I participate was 2014 (I think). But anyway, this will be my entry for this year's Case Mod World Series. I am calling it "HoloView". This is a sponsored project by Thermaltake and EVGA. I completely forgot about the World Series this year when I got the project approval. Wasn't intending to join in this year, but with some convincing from a few of my friends who are participating in too, well, why not. Anyway, this is the case that I will be modifying, the Thermaltake View 27. I will be chopping this case off a little bit to give way to some radiator mounts and fan mounts. I will be adding something special on this one and hopefully I could pull it off before the deadline. I will be using some CoolerMaster 120mm fans for this guy, I will be using a few CoolerMaster MasterFan Pro. But first, I need to free up some space in my "Work area" then do some measuring. This will be my post for now, but I will update the work log as soon as I get some more progress and chopping action. Ciao!
  4. Hey guys, Welcome back to another one of my builds logs! I'm happy to announce my entry into the 2017 Cooler Master CaseMod World Series in the MasterCase Maker 5t. It's a stunning looking case and I'm excited to work on it. I have a few interesting things planned for it, including some layout changes on the inside and a more unique water cooling loop set-up. I am calling this one Tempest and it will be based on the Tempest spaceship from the new Mass Effect Andromeda game. I did an overview video of the case as well as talked a bit about the mods where you can get a better idea of what I'm going to do in this case. Check it out below: SPECS: Case - Cooler Master MasterCase Maker 5t CPU - Intel TBC MB - ASUS Rampage V Extreme RAM - 8 x 4GB Crucial Ballistix Elite 3000MHz DDR4 GPU - NVIDIA TBC SSD - 2 x 275GB Crucial MX300 HDD - Seagate TBC PSU - Cooler Master V1000 Custom cables & lighting - CableMod Water Cooling - Bitspower I'll start it off with some photos of the gorgeous case: Thanks for checking it out and stay tuned for more Cheers, Alex

  7. Who Am I? A bit about me; a few years ago I suffered a traumatic brain injury that caused my brain to hemorrhage. After spending a long time in intensive care I kept thinking about case modding. Before long, its all I could think about. After recovering from my injury I was left with epilepsy and brain that no longer functioned like before. I started to look at things differently. Inspiration for mods began to pop up in the oddest places. I eventually became overthrown with modding ideas and designs. Soon I decided it was time to start. Theres nothing quite like being in the grocery store and yelling, “thats it, 45 degree angles†and then running out of the store like a mad man. No matter what I was doing, it all kept coming back to case modding. Today case modding is my life and it allows me to be truly happy. For some case modding is a hobby but, for me its a lifestyle. And So It Begins: Why: I decided to do this scratch build, “Dark Matter†for several reasons. I was tired of limiting my mods to the confines of a typical sized case. There are a ton of great cases out there but, I wanted to do something my style from the ground up. The design phase began once I started getting close to completing the StarCraft Day Zero case. However, a lot of the main features for this build have been floating around my head over the last year. During the scratch build I will be using new modding techniques as well as using materials that aren't always associated with case modding. I will also implement 3D printing and some new tech in that feild. If you like seeing original creations and have a love for the truest form of modding; you're in the right place.
