Hello, Recently, I've built an am4 system and I bought HYPER 212 LED for cooling, after checking the compatibility with am4 CPU's from the international website. but when I got the cooler, I realized that the backplate that came with the cooler was not fitting correctly to my asus b350 prime plus motherboard in any combination. I live in Turkey and contacted with Cooler Master's Turkey office. They told me to check the box if it was really am4 compatible. A second surprise was that, there was nothing written on the box about AM4 compatibility. I think maybe there is an updated version and mine is the older one but I got this cooler from the internet and I couldn't have known that. The office provided me an upgrade kit, RR-ACCY-AM4B-R1, but unfortunately this kit was not fitting to the bottom of my cooler, which you can see here: I think this kit is just for hyper 212 evo, which has a flat bottom, but not for 212 evo led. Another interesting point is, I see a different version of HYPER 212 LED which has vertical channels like this: So I've spent a lot of time, effort and money but I got nothing in my hand. How can I resolve this issue ?
I'm upgrading my motherboard from an X370 to X570 Crosshair VIII. It has these plastic mounting tabs. I remove those tabs and put the AM4 bracket included with my 240P Mirage, but there is a lot of play. It's not snug. I watched another video and AIO cooler connected to the boards included plastic mounting bracket. Cooler Master has quit responding to my emails after I had them confirm this cooler will work on my new board.
