  4. Part1--Let me to change the color of Mod!
  5. Hello! My name is Drew, I'm a case modding hobbyist. For this build I wanted to do something more simple and clean, I decided on a monochromatic theme with no RGB. I decided on using chrome tubing for the first time and I designed a custom sl600m distro plate for the case as well. The distro plate was created by 3D scanning the case and then modeling around it. i wanted minimal tubing runs hense the secondary chamber in the plate. The goal of this build is to be able to easily swap out coolant colors and for it to stay just as clean as with just black. The build features the following specs: Cooler Master SL600M Ryzen R9 3900x 32gb DDR4 Corsair Dominator Platinum Ram Nvidia GTX 1080 ti MSI x470 Gaming AC Motherboard Watercooling parts include: EKWB Alphacool My own custom work If you have any questions on the build please let me know! Initial product Shot Vinyl Wrapped CPU Block The custom distro plate that i had designed. Picture of the plate getting milled. After getting it made by Clockwork Industries. Picture of the plate installed and some tubing ran. Loop Complete Started loop filling with purple fluid. Going to be changed to black. New Cables from Mainframe Customs Build should be done the weekend of the 21st, stay tuned! FINAL PHOTOS: There isn't enough space for all of them so be sure to check out the reply to see the other two photos.
  6. American Muscle is inspired by the torque rich V8 cars of the 1960 and 1970 I purchased the case in 2009 from CyberpowerPC, I had the case powder coated in 2012 and used it in my 2nd build. This is my 3rd build using this case it’s an oldie but a goody. The part for this build are: Case: Cosmos S CPU: intel i7 9700k GPU: EVGA gtx 1080 seahawk MB: Asus Maximus XI Extreme Ram: 32gb Corsair Vengeance pro DDR4 @ 3200ghz M.2 SSDs x2: Samsung 970 Pro Fans x6 Corsair LL120 RGB Corsair lighting node pro Corsair Commander pro Fittings are Bits-power Black Sparkle water block ek 1Tb x2 Western Digital hard drives
  7. Well hello there. You will know me by name Contay. This is rather late bloomer in the cmws19, but after all, I came this far. I wasn't even sure, would I compete even I registered here, but things went as they are. My original idea was to take then new Q500L (released 5/2019 in Finland) and modify it to better suit my high end, two player virtual system. During past weeks I got hold to myself and kicked things forward once and for all. As I had almost all other parts ready, except few radiators, I decided why not, after all, to compete here. Here is what I started with, basically. Sad truth is, Zenith suffered some damage and I am running some back up Taichi X399. Good thing I had spare... Complete parts list: -X399 Zenith is dead X399 Asrock Taichi -2950X Threadripper, overclocked to the moon - 8x8GB Gskill Trident Z, black and white, 3200MHz CL14 - Two watercooled Radeon VII, EK block and standard backplate. Chose to use standard backplate for more fitting look in the build. - EK supremacy TR4 block, Acrylic and Nickel -Two 280 radiators by EKWB, 30 and 45mm thick units -Four Noctua 2000rpm industrial fans, 140mm -Two Cryorig slim 140mm fans -Three Samsung 1TB 860 Evo SSD for virtual rigs storage drives -Two Samsung 950 Pro 512GB, one for native boot and other for virtual rigs as OS drive - SX350 Fusion IoMemory pcie drive, 3.2TB for native boot storage -Corsais AX1600i to power the beast -Various watercooling parts in custom loop -Coolermaster Q500L ready to be butch... Modified Modification started with simple procedure by removing dust filters from the case: Modding continued by some slight metal cutting. For slightly improved airflow, you see. Just a little from the top. And sides. And bottom. And rear. To be honest, it has less holes than it had in original shape. Of course, there had to be something to coat this thing with and I had, from the beginning, chosen the material. Custom parts would be AISI304 stainless steel, lasercut and glass blasted. Well, it was a bummer but my contact for glassblasting faded me so I had to get by with brushed surface. Parts came withing a week from order. Here are parts as they arrived. I later used spinning brass brush in powerdrill to get more matte surface. It looks slightly more industrial and less kitcheny now as it's not all shiny. Next iteration will definitely get glass blasting. Before I tore case apart once more, I had to make few test fits and drill rivet holes in the case. AS you can see, it will feature way more airflow than original design. Currently I just wait the paint get dry, literally. Posting more soon. - Contay
  8. This is my second build, I chose the Coolermaster H500P white mesh for the build. The color is golden white oak wood and desert rose gold, with my first attempt at a custom water loop.
  9. Hey Guys, Here is my most recent build in progress photos, this case was designed by me and laser cut by Clockwerk Industries in Ohio. The build stemmed from the idea of wanting a vertical mounted pc that allowed for a very showcase type look. I wanted to be able to display all of the components and pretty stuff on top while keeping all the radiators and fans underneath. The goal for the build is to allow for some modularity and as the build develops i want to make panels of the case hot swap-able to allow to add more water cooling down the road and add different motherboard mounts or anything else my frail heart desires. Images of the build start off with just the panels and go through the process of what we have done to make the build work the way it needs. The original goal was 3x360mm radiators but we ended up with 2x360 because i didn't measure correctly. If I were to remake the case I would add another 1 or 2 cm to each side to accommodate the extra cooling I planned for. Also the milled plates were added because i didn't take fitting clearance into account and it hit the radiator so we had to move it up but I think of it as a happy accident now as I think it helps the way the build looks. Let me know if you have any questions of it and if you would like to see more of it I post mainly on Instagram @drewcifer_mods. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I will be adding shots to the replies as time goes on.
  10. Who Am I? A bit about me; a few years ago I suffered a traumatic brain injury that caused my brain to hemorrhage. After spending a long time in intensive care I kept thinking about case modding. Before long, its all I could think about. After recovering from my injury I was left with epilepsy and brain that no longer functioned like before. I started to look at things differently. Inspiration for mods began to pop up in the oddest places. I eventually became overthrown with modding ideas and designs. Soon I decided it was time to start. Theres nothing quite like being in the grocery store and yelling, “thats it, 45 degree angles†and then running out of the store like a mad man. No matter what I was doing, it all kept coming back to case modding. Today case modding is my life and it allows me to be truly happy. For some case modding is a hobby but, for me its a lifestyle. And So It Begins: Why: I decided to do this scratch build, “Dark Matter†for several reasons. I was tired of limiting my mods to the confines of a typical sized case. There are a ton of great cases out there but, I wanted to do something my style from the ground up. The design phase began once I started getting close to completing the StarCraft Day Zero case. However, a lot of the main features for this build have been floating around my head over the last year. During the scratch build I will be using new modding techniques as well as using materials that aren't always associated with case modding. I will also implement 3D printing and some new tech in that feild. If you like seeing original creations and have a love for the truest form of modding; you're in the right place.
