  1. Hello I have a problem with my masterkeys lite l keyboard. The problem is that the backlight is stuck to rainbow mode and I cant change it because when i press the FN key with the F1,F2,F3,F4 etc.Nothing really happens and it stays with the rainbow effect.I cant change the speed and the mode either and I cant press the windows lock button. I would appreciate your help. Thanks
  2. Hi I am new to this community and I don't know if this is correct place to ask. My Masterkeys pro M (white leds) kb backlight flicker. Frequency is 150Hz to be precise. This is damn too low. Measured with oscilloscope and light sensitive diode. MAX backlight: MID backlight: MIN backlight: From this review is evident, there is one 16 channel PWM driver to handle all keys backlight. The only way to achieve it is by multiplexing it between different groups of LEDs. When LED is off, other groups are served. So main PWM is running around 4kHz, but multiplexing on 150Hz. I understand this limitation, but multiplexing is not necessary when whole kb is backlit with same intensity. I would be really grateful if CM can modify FW to not mux in "all keys backlit" mode. Faster muxing would fix it too, but IDK if PWM driver can handle such quick changes. There is HW mod way too, but when FW can fix it.... FW mod like spite did would be possible too, but I believe CM can handle this. Any ideas? Opinions? xorly
  3. I have a CMStorm Devastator keyboard with blue backlight. I am a big user of 'Excel'. However, when you put the keyboard 'Backlight' on using the 'Scroll Lock' key, it applies the 'Scroll Lock' to 'Excel' and I can't 'Arrow' between cells.....I have to turn 'Scroll Lock' off to use 'Excel', but then I can't see the keyboard as it turns the 'Backlight' off. .....Arghhhhh!!!....... I have downloaded 'Sharp Keys' to remap the 'Scroll Lock' key elsewhere....but then I lose the 'Backlight' altogether. This must be a common problem.....How do I manage to get the 'Backlight' on without applying the 'Scroll Lock' ?
  4. So I was wondering if it would be a bad idea for me to leave me keyboard plugged in and have the backlight on overnight. It's nice to look at while laying in bed, but I'm afraid this may have a large impact on the life span of my keyboard, so for now I just unplug it at night. Is it okay to keep on overnight? In love with this keyboard though <3
  5. My Keyboard's backlight only works when my computer first boots up, then it stops lighting up. The lock lights Num and Caps work, but that's it on the keyboard. Scroll lock doesn't work, neither the light or the backlight function.
  6. CM Storm Devastator

Is there any way of changing the key to turn on and off backlight apart from the scroll lock, plays havoc with another program and have to use the keyboard without back light in that program. Thanks
  7. WINDOWS 7, 8 & 8.1 > Devastator Backlight Doesn't Turn Off at Shutdown Note: BIOS settings, options and choice of words can be different. Enter the BIOS search for Advanced Controls > Advanced Power Management or Power Management > Enable EuP Ready option. Enter the BIOS search for Advanced Controls > Advanced Power Management > Enable ErP Support or ErP option or ErP Ready. [brand specific: Gigabyte]. No progress? Clear the CMOS, and try the steps above once more. Read your motherboard user manual to find out if there are any specific bios settings or jumper settings that deal specifically with USB power settings. Easy fix: flip the PSU power switch 'OFF'. (Not actually a fix but a temporarily option). The USB power options after shutdown are mainly for USB charging devices (Smartphones or Tablets, etc.) MAC OS X > CM Storm Devastator Backlight on MAC OS X Note: This is an unsupported work-around, but suggested for MAC OS X users. Download the HID LED Test tool kit: https://developer.apple.com/library/mac/samplecode/HID_LED_test_tool/Introduction/Intro.html Open the folder 'Build'. From 'Build' open up the 'Release' folder. Once 'Release' is opened, it will pop-up an output. The Devastator will start cycling and blinking. Once all the keys are lit up hit 'Ctrl + C' to terminate the terminal. The Devastator backlight should work now. (Credits: ninjasiat, and others on the Apple forums). LINUX [under construction]
  8. Need Help.

Hello, I just bought a New CMSTORM Devastator Keyboard today. It really looks nice and I like it. But I'm having problems with the backlight, it seems the only way to turn it on/off is by pressing the "Scroll Lock" key. The case is, there are some games that are affected whenever my scroll lock button is ON. Like, I cant make my character in game walk (WASD key), instead it goes to the message/chat board of the game. I'm wondering if I can change the key binding or if it's possible to turn on the backlight of the keyboard without pressing the scroll lock button. I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong section, I'm in a bit of hurry. Immediate response is much appreciated. Thanks !!
