  1. so i have the ROG MAXIMUS X HERO Mobo and i am trying to Rgb my tower. I currently have the cooler master cpu cooler. that is plugged in to my first rbg header. I am planning buying "MasterFan Pro 120 Air Balance RGB 3 in 1 with RGB LED Controller" and I also wanna make a rgb backing plate. but I am at the point were im not sure if adding a led strip to the 3 120 air balance rgb will be to high of a amp. there is one way around it but im not sure on the affect. BitFenix Alchemy 3.0 Addressable RGB Magnetic LED strips 30 CM, 3 pin ASUS AURA SYNC. use a 3 pin port so i could use a different header but the problem i have with that led strip is will the magnets effect my GPU since they would be separated by a acrylic piece. please and thanks for help
  2. I recently bought a 3-pack of the MF120R-ARGB fans, planning on hooking them up to the addressable RGB header on my ASRock B450 Fatal1ty Gaming K4 motherboard and using the ASRock software to control the lighting settings. However, the lighting does not respond to any input that I put into the RGB settings in the software. This surprises me, as on both on the Cooler Master page of the product and the retailer page where I bought it, ASRock software is explicitly outlined as compatible with the ARGB lighting of these fans. Besides not responding to my software, the fans work perfectly fine--they respond to the included controller's light settings, and adjust their speeds according to my PWM settings. I'm just not sure why the fans aren't following the software settings. Everything is plugged in and installed as dictated in the manual. When I press the button on the manual controller that tells the fans to accept motherboard-fed lighting instructions, the lights just turn off and stay off, no matter what I do in the software. Can anyone point me in the right direction, so that I can get my lighting working properly? Or is there somehow something else I may be missing entirely? Thanks. The product page on the Cooler Master site for the fans is: http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/case-fan/masterfan-mf120r-argb-3in1/ The Amazon page where I bought the fans from: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GSRJJTQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  3. Hi, can I change the color of the ML240R with MSI mystic light software in my Z370 Godlike? I have a 4 pin 5v (named JRAINBOW1) and a 4 pin 12v RGB connector. How can I connect them? Thx in advance, Federico.
  4. I see lots of comments in the forum about challenges with the LEDs in the C700P case. I'm having issues as well. My rig includes a Ryzen-powered Asus Crosshair VI Hero motherboard and RAM modules with LEDs. Some of you may know that Asus is the mother/owner of the whole Aura lighting control tech and is supposed to work with multiple vendors. It seems it is not that easy though. When I connect the MB LED control header the the LED/Fan controller in the C700P I get less than desirable behavior. The case selector button on the case top for LED controls never cycles to the MB control option. Outside of that the other modes work fine and I get all the LED colors. So, the LEDs work (and so do the fans). Just not the MB mode. When I load Asus' Aura LED control software it is supposed to display the various LED systems that can be controlled. Instead of seeing the MB, RAM modules and the case all I get is the MB. I CAN control the motherboard with this software but nothing else. Argh! I know that this is likely an Asus problem to solve, it is about their MB and Aura software but I was wondering (hoping?) somebody here might have wrestled with this already and broke the code... please share? Has anyone actually controlled the C700P case with Aura yet? What did you have to do? Maybe even with a Asus Crosshair VI Hero? Is anyone able to select the MB mode with the LED selector on the top of the case? What does it do?
  5. Dear all, i'd like to ask what would be the best water cooling solution for i7 8700k that would be synced with gigabyte RGB fusion software
  6. Hi all, I just received my coolermaster RGB controller, and noticed one easy upgrade that could be easily integrated by an update. I noticed on the "multilayer" preset, you can only select one header for which the other preset is applied to. For example, I cannot make two headers display two different colours if they are both "breathing". One must be on breathing with for example red and another must be at static with other colour. I feel that we should be able to actually multilayer each header separately from each other, instead of automatically changing to the other colour that is on that preset. I know that i'm bad at explaining so I attached an image of what I mean. If any developments sees this, could you please contact someone because this is a pretty simple improvement and would really let us take advantage of the multilayer mode. Thank you
  7. When I first turned on my PC the lights came on and I could control the color via MSI mystic light but it slowly faded out and now there is no light at all. I have made sure everything is plugged in and in the right place, I'm just wondering if I've missed anything or the fans are just bad. My motherboard is the MSI X470 Gaming Pro.
  8. I recently purchased a Cooler Master ML240R cooler for my computer, along with a new CPU, motherboard, and case. The motherboard I am using is an ASUS ROG Strix H370-F. The case I am now using is the In-win 101C. When I tried to install all of the components, the fans on the cooler will work, along with the case fans, but the RGB will not work. THe only thing that will work is the Aura lighting on the motherboard.
  9. I have problem with portal software cant handle RGB's from there or anything else
  10. I am planning to build a TUF themed beast, and browsing forums are not helping me that much, as I am expected. My question is, if I could mount the ML240R to the top of the MB500 TUF Edition case, as theoretically it should fit, but might have spacing issues with the motherboard. (ASUS TUF b450-Plus Gaming) Is it do-able actually? Also, as far as I know, there is a RGB splitter with a case, but if I'd want to install a 3rd RGB fan (Cooler Master MF121L R4-C1DS-12FC-R2 RGB LED, I think this is the one that the case has 3 of them pre installed) - do I need an additional rgb hub or splitter, so I could make a fully synced wave effect? The motherboard should be able to handle the TridentZ RGB rams, and also I might purchase a RGB LED strip - any aura sync compactible suggestions here? Thanks for the help, Samu
  11. This is my first post in this forums. I've been into the mechanical keyboarding building journey for about 6 months now. I've been looking in the market for a wireless TKL keyboard that has RGB lighting and is exactly the same size as a CM Storm QuickFire Rapid. Reason for this is I have a custom aluminum casing that can only fit a QuickFire Rapid. So below are my questions before I go out and buy a MasterKeys Pro S RGB 1. There seems to be some typo on the dimensions in the product link. It says 359 x 130.8 x 39mm can I get a confirmation from the community what the actual size is? My worry is with the 130.8. I believe it should be 138mm? 2. Is there a way to set a timeout on the LED back lighting? I basically need to know if there are any power saving features from this keyboard? 3. Is there an audio-visualizer feature on this keyboard like with other competitors such as Corsair keyboards? What I hope to do once I get a MasterKeys Pro is to recreate the project in the imgur link. What the project did was to fit a Bluetooth HID emulator into the case of a wired keyboard. https://imgur.com/gallery/TJrMv Together with the modifications above. I hope to change the switches too to some modified switches that I have. I will keep this thread updated with my build log whether or not I get a MasterKeys keyboard or not.
  12. I have a cooler master RGB led controller that i use to control 6 fans on my case. Is there a way to use thta to control the rgb of the Masterliquid ML240? I know it comes with a controller but i wanna know if there is a way to use only one controller
  13. So I recently bought my K500 and I had it in red for most of the time, after a while I noticed the on button didn't show any colour. So obviously I thought I didn't push a wire in far enough so I went ahead and checked and it was all fine, but still the light wasn't showing. So I changed profile and the on button showed the colour the fans were also displaying (so it worked). So then I switched it to cycle and it cycled through and whenever it came to a colour which was a mix between blue and red, it stayed blue until it was at green and it suddenly switched to green again (so for example whenever it went to purple, the on button stayed blue). I checked the splitter connectors and all the arrows are lined up. Idk what it could be... Thanks in advance, Jasper
  14. I was looking for some custom RGB profiles but i dont see any for the M RGB version of the keyboard can anyone help me finding custom ones? P.S with custom profiles i mean the ones you see for the CM MASTERKEYS L RGB like these : https://makerhub.coolermaster.com/custom-lighting/en/masterkeys-pro-l/ - Silver ♥
  15. So I have 2 4 pin connectors on my MSI Tomahawk board - but the connectors for the RGB labeled for MSI have a block-out where the third pin would go, and a 3 pin on the Gigabyte connector. I have NO idea how to connect these to my Motherboard so that I can have the RGB work? If it can't connect to the motherboard, am I going to be able to use the RGB in that at all?
  16. NOTE: If you are trying to discourage me from building, please don't comment. This is my first build without extreme help and I need the experience, so please <3 Question/Issue #1: I'm using the Asus - Prime Z370-A motherboard in the C700P case. Two wires to be connected for the front 3.0 ports, and the USB 3.0 pins look entirely different on my motherboard. I also don't know what kind of connection the USB 3.1 wire is using, but it doesn't look the same as what is labeled as the USB 3.1 pins on the motherboard. Question/Issue #2: Then there's all the single or double pin LED wires, etc. and I think I understand that- I put them all into the adapter-type device that puts them all into one pin thing. Picture included below. Question/Issue #3: Also, I can't understand the "Control Board Layout" from the manual at all (It's on Page 20). Specifically, Part B - "Front Panel Control Connector" which is described as a "9pin connector for LED & Fan control signal" -- I don't know what I am supposed to be doing with that. Currently, My NZXT Kraken X62 fans are plugged into the power supply directly. Should I plug them into this "Control Board"? Explanation of Question/Issues #2&3: Basically, what do I do with the Case's "Control Board" and what is done with all the wires that are included with the C700P. I never had a case with a control board like this before. Overall, I just need a little guidance. This is my entire part list and I haven't found anything online that can guide me. Any help is appreciated.. I will include some pictures that might help? ? ?
  17. I got the new ML240R liquid cooler installed and got to say it comes with a lot of cables that aren't labeled and not in the manual. After some digging I figured most of it out, but if I leave the USB cable connected it stays on after PC is shutdown. For now my only fix is to not leave it connected. Was wondering if I'm the only one with this issue? I know the software is still not available so that might be a contributing factor.
  18. Hi, is anyone else having color accuracy issues with Asus? I have a ROG Strix z270e motherboard and I can somewhat interface with the lights on the outside of the case through the RGB header, but the color is extremely inaccurate. There is one specific color that I'd like, but it's impossible to get it there. For example, I can use the lights just fine using the button on the case, but when I control via motherboard and select teal, I get a purpleish color. When I select purple, I get a yellow color. I've tried calibrating and switching the cable both ways on the header, but no luck. When I do the calibration, it asks what color I see, Red Green and Blue, but it only shows Red, Purple and Yellow.
  19. So at first I thought that my "Masterfan Pro 140 Air Flow RGB" was defective, I have asked a new one for replacement but the problem is still the same. I believe it happened after the Firmware update. So the main problem is only the red color is working on the Masterfan Pro 140 Air Flow RGB, if I change the color with the RGB CONTROLLER for blue, purple or any other colors, the red leds just turn off and no other colors are displayed... The switch on the fan is set on RGB. I am very displeased with this issue and would like to know how can it be fixed. Thank you. I use also RGB LED STRIP but no problem for displaying colors effects. I have also unplugged the LED Strip to see if it could make any difference but the problem is still the same. I've made a video with my phone, sorry if the colors are not accurate, but can see what happened when I select another color than red. SEE VIDEO on Youtube
  20. My 200mm case fans that came preinstalled on my H500P case have the wrong colors when I use them with my ASUS Aura software (red is green and turquoise is purple, however blue and yellow work). I have switched around the cables multiple times with no luck. If anyone has a solution, please respond and help. *UPDATE* I got it working after I flashed a new BIOS to my motherboard
  21. Hi, I purchased a MF120R ARGB case fan and I cannot connect the RGB, it should be a 4-pin connector but 1 of the pin is blocked.. See the attached picture
  22. The airflow on the case isn’t the best which impacted the temperature of the hardware which might lead to hardware longevity issues , furthermore at this price point i understand its tough to keep the production cost of the case low. Therefore i sincerely hope cooler master is going to produce additional fan bracket modules or meshes for the case in the near future that we can buy off the shelves to upgrade the case’s airflow...(mainly the top of the case and the front intake of the case) basically something that we owners of the case could mod them onto ,just like the mastercase 5.

My 2x200MM rgb fans at the front work fine but dont light up. any reason to this seems like im missing some kind of connector.
  24. Hey all! I recently bought a Masterbox Pro 5 RGB case with built-in fans. The motherboard I am running is the Gigabyte ab350-gaming 3 which comes with 1 x RGB (RGBW) LED header apparently (http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-3586338/mobo-run-rgb-fan.html). I've attached a few images of where I connected the RGB cable that came with it, and the result just gives a REALLY faint and dim glow on the fans. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance!
  25. Hello I just purchased a "Cooler Master Masterfan Pro 120 Air Flow" I want to be able to sync it with Asus Aura Sync can you please assist? I recently purchased a Asus Strix GTX 1080 it has RGB Light, I downloaded the Asus Aura Sync software and I can change the colors as I want but I like the Color Cycle feature, my case has RED RGB fans. So I decided to purchase Cooler Master Fan Pro 3 fan kit with RGB LED Controller since as advertised on the box its compatible with Asus Aura Sync software. Well I installed the fans, connected them to the motherboard. I opened the Asus Aura Sync software and it only recognizes my video card, but It will not recognize the fans, there for I cant sync them together so they can color cycle together. I have uninstalled the Aura software, downloaded the most recent ones, rebooted my PC multiple times, double checked my connections. I used google.com, youtube and I cant seem to find the solution can you please assist? I have installed the Fans as the instructions indicate from the led controller to the motherboard via socket on motherboard, I can open the Cooler Master software and I can change the colors or turn them on and off via this software but I dont want to use this software I want to use Asus Aura Sync and Sync the case fans with my Asus Strix 1080 GPU please help..
