  1. My question is this: Will the CM RGB LED Controller work for me on my Z170? From what I can figure out (since nothing about this product is all that clear) is that it'll connect via a USB header and just simply work using software. Another issue I am having is that I can only seem to purchase from an international seller that operates out of Asia on Newegg. I live in America. I need to know if this is all I need to buy to get my CM RGB fans to be customizable on my Z170 platform that has no RGB headers. Because if not, then I'll have to go and buy a Z270 motherboard for a lot more money just to get control over the lighting.
  2. Hello, I have a Coolermaster Masterbox MB520 RGB case which came with 3X 4PIN RGB fans and it's own controller that connects to the reset switch. I also have a Masterliquid ML240R RGB AIO that came with 2X 3PIN RGB Fans (also 2X 3PIN RGB leads from block/pump) and it's own 3PIN RGB controller that can connect to reset switch or motherboard RGB header or motherboard USB header. So far the best solution I have come up with is connecting the 4PIN fans & Controller to the reset switch and the AIO and it's controller to the USB header on the motherboard (Mobo has no RGB header). The AIO controller has a 4PIN header labelled MB12v probably intended to connect to compatible RGB header on mainboard. Could this be used to drive the 4PIN RGB fan chain? I would really like to find away to control all the lighting through one interface whether it's reset button OR software via USB
  3. Hiya. I currently own the MasterLiquid ML240L RGB, and the MasterFan MF120R ARGB 3in1. They both came with an RGB controller, although it seems like the one from the case fans is a bit newer. My first question is, how do I sync these products with software (I have an MSI motherboard with MysticLight)? My second question is, are there any cables I need to purchase (I see a USB Mini input on the RGB controllers, so maybe a Mini USB to USB 9 header)? Thanks in advance!
  4. Hi there. Since the pump of my Matserliquid PRO 240 is making a strange noise it seems wise to upgrade before the pump breaks. One problem. I want a 360mm radiator since I have a bigger case (C700P) but I can't find a 360mm cooler for socket 1151 with RGB and no ARGB (since my motherboard does not have ARGB and I want to sync everything using Aura). Does someone know a solution to this without buying 3 separate RGB fans? Kind regards
  5. I got my prebuilt pc a while back in January 2019 and I wanted to change the colour from green (which it has always been) to blue but I didn't know how to so I went on Youtube to see reviews on the case and I saw one guy press a button on the top/front of the case to cycle the colour but when I pressed it, it just restarted the pc. So I checked all the wiring and its all in the right places. And now I'm really confused. I thought I could deal with it but its really annoying me now with it being green and not blue. Is there something I'm not getting or what?

    NO RGB

Hi all. I just installed brand new coolermaster masterliquid ml120L RGB single fan liquid cooling system. First off it seems wierd to me that the cooling head is only a three pin connector but my main issue is I have no RGB action at all. It didn't come with a controller it only came with a little stick thing with 3 buttons which I assume is a type of controller. ( Please see attachment ). I plug in RGB's to it then plug the MOLEX in and nothing. My CPU temps are staying low so I figure the thing is working. Can anyone help. Thank you
  7. I recently installed a masterfan MF120R A-RGB fan on a gigabyte b450 wifi pro motherboard. The fan is powered and spinning, but the RGB lights are not working. Could this be a compatibility issue, or is there a driver I might be missing? thanks
  8. I have a problem with rgb cosmos c700m the case for what it costs shouldn't have these problems I really don't know where to turn to There is no support number, I'm in Italy help meeee
  9. I just ordered this cpu cooler off of newegg and can't get the colors to change. I tried plugging in the separate controller instead of connecting it straight to the motherboard but then didn't get any lights at all?
  10. I'm trying to put in a coolermaster 212 rgb black on an LGA1151 board (Asrock Z390 Pro4). I'm having trouble with the backplate mount. I followed the directions but realized that the support mount for the cooler only fits through the holes when the tabs are in a position other than what is said to be the correct one in the manual. Basically, putting the tabs in the LGA115X position doesn't work. The tabs in the LGA2066/2011-v3/2011/1366 position are what fit. It's an LGA1151 board, though. Am I fine just having it fit and going from there or am I dealing with some sort of machining issue that I'll have to resolve later on? I just want to know before I start putting on thermal paste and trying to mount the heatsink. The brackets also are supposed to go off of socket type with different positions for each type. If I were just doing it without the instructions, I'd just put everything in the configuration that has everything fit where they're seemingly supposed to go.
  11. I just bought the master-liquid ML240R and installed at according to the instructions. I got it to be controlled by the coolermaster software but it is not connecting to the aura sync software on my Asus B360-F. The aura sync software works perfectly so that's not the problem. When i open the coolermaster software i get the error Can't open AsIO.sys !! (5). If i close the error and let the software open it can still control it however it wont connect to Aura sync.
  12. Hi, i'm searching for someone who can sell me only the RGB controller that is insered in H500M case. My contact is olivero.ghiglia.alessio@gmail.com. Thanks
  13. Hello, I've bought a MB520 RGB tower and I would like to control the fans colors from my MSI Motherboard ( B360 Gaming carbon which supports MSI mystic ligth). In the MB520 product description, it is said that it is possible to control the fans with MSI Mystic. I don't find how to connect the 1-3 fan splitter of the MB520 which has a 4 pins connector on the motherboard. It seems as if I should use the Corsair RGB connector but it is a 3 pins connector. Could you please help me? Do I need to add an adapter or can I use another motherboard connector ? Regards Laurent
  14. So I recently purchased a new PC, decided to go with the ML240RS RGB. I do a check build of all the components and everything is working. Fast-forward a day and I'm now attempting to sync the RGB of the ML240RS to the rest of my system which I had synced via Aura software. Another day passes with me only being able to change the RGB of the cooler via the RGB Controller and then on powerup the RGB no longer works. Iv had instances where one fan lights up or the CPU pup lights up, I then eventually found the software here http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/cpu-liquid-cooler/masterliquid-ml240r-rgb/ . I installed MasterPlus and then installed the ARGB BOX Firmware and still nothing has changed. Any help or advice will be much appreciated as everything is perfect with the cooler except the RGB no longer functioning.
  15. I disconnected the plugs from the weird plug below that seems to go nowhere.. The three fans are connected to the motherboard and work.. The RGB lights do not work. Am i missing a part where is this supposed to go? The pic shows the three fan cables that were connected into this piece..
  16. Fans are connected direct to the motherboard... the fans run but the RGB button up front appears to serve no purpose,, help with the lights would be great!
  17. Hi, I really like my new MK750 (brown) keyboard and i would an effect on the keyboard that when you press a key it changes color, I know reactive fade does this however I do not want random keys illuminating, only the pressed keys Any suggestions? Thanks
  18. Got my Masterkeys Pro S Rgb on the 3rd of Jan and everything is working well, including the Color wave mode. Woke up next day only to discover that the color wave mode went ham. (It’s not even color wave, just random rgbs going at full speed, i have set the speed to the minimum, still the same.) Any solutions? I have tried re-installing the firmware, re-installing the whole CM software, FN + E, Resetting the profiles but to no avail.
  19. so i have the ROG MAXIMUS X HERO Mobo and i am trying to Rgb my tower. I currently have the cooler master cpu cooler. that is plugged in to my first rbg header. I am planning buying "MasterFan Pro 120 Air Balance RGB 3 in 1 with RGB LED Controller" and I also wanna make a rgb backing plate. but I am at the point were im not sure if adding a led strip to the 3 120 air balance rgb will be to high of a amp. there is one way around it but im not sure on the affect. BitFenix Alchemy 3.0 Addressable RGB Magnetic LED strips 30 CM, 3 pin ASUS AURA SYNC. use a 3 pin port so i could use a different header but the problem i have with that led strip is will the magnets effect my GPU since they would be separated by a acrylic piece. please and thanks for help
  20. I have the MasterLiquid 120ml Lite, without the RGB controller. Therefore, the liquid cooler goes through a color spectrum at all times. About 4 days ago, I noticed this was no longer the case, and is showing a static red, instead. I didn’t think much of it. 2 days ago, upon playing a game I usually play for hours a day, my GPU temps were at 68c AND my case was warmer than usual to the touch, after just 10 minutes of gameplay. My GPU is fine. But I’m wondering, is the color change in the cooler related to the all of a sudden rising temps for my GPU and case overall? I’m concerned the pump is not functioning properly. What is the randomly change in RGB lighting mean? I have owned my rig for about 5-6 months now, it came with the liquid cooler installed and hasn’t given my any issues. My temps usually do not get any higher than 55 degrees Celsius, even after hours of playing games on ultra settings, while streaming as well. I’d appreciate any feedback I can get.
  21. I just finished my first ever build and I am having a few issues with the RGB. I have the MB530P case with a ML360R and the main issue is that the RGB light for the case is flashing random colors, not synchronized with the rest of the case. Is there something I have done wrong? I have plugged the RGB header into the controller. Another note, does anyone know how to get this thing to sync up to Aura sync? I have a ROG Crosshair VII so I believe its definitely capable, I just cant figure out how to get it all synced. Thanks in advance :)
  22. I recently bought a 3-pack of the MF120R-ARGB fans, planning on hooking them up to the addressable RGB header on my ASRock B450 Fatal1ty Gaming K4 motherboard and using the ASRock software to control the lighting settings. However, the lighting does not respond to any input that I put into the RGB settings in the software. This surprises me, as on both on the Cooler Master page of the product and the retailer page where I bought it, ASRock software is explicitly outlined as compatible with the ARGB lighting of these fans. Besides not responding to my software, the fans work perfectly fine--they respond to the included controller's light settings, and adjust their speeds according to my PWM settings. I'm just not sure why the fans aren't following the software settings. Everything is plugged in and installed as dictated in the manual. When I press the button on the manual controller that tells the fans to accept motherboard-fed lighting instructions, the lights just turn off and stay off, no matter what I do in the software. Can anyone point me in the right direction, so that I can get my lighting working properly? Or is there somehow something else I may be missing entirely? Thanks. The product page on the Cooler Master site for the fans is: http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/case-fan/masterfan-mf120r-argb-3in1/ The Amazon page where I bought the fans from: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GSRJJTQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  23. Hi, can I change the color of the ML240R with MSI mystic light software in my Z370 Godlike? I have a 4 pin 5v (named JRAINBOW1) and a 4 pin 12v RGB connector. How can I connect them? Thx in advance, Federico.
  24. Ok, so to start off, I'm livid. First, I noticed the obnoxiously loud fans that were included, but WHATEVER, change the fans. But NOW the RGB on the pump won't work, only works on the fans. Does anyone have a fix for this?
  25. Hi all, I just received my coolermaster RGB controller, and noticed one easy upgrade that could be easily integrated by an update. I noticed on the "multilayer" preset, you can only select one header for which the other preset is applied to. For example, I cannot make two headers display two different colours if they are both "breathing". One must be on breathing with for example red and another must be at static with other colour. I feel that we should be able to actually multilayer each header separately from each other, instead of automatically changing to the other colour that is on that preset. I know that i'm bad at explaining so I attached an image of what I mean. If any developments sees this, could you please contact someone because this is a pretty simple improvement and would really let us take advantage of the multilayer mode. Thank you
