  1. Someone did this build and put a hyper T2 on an AMD 4130. When i was given the unit, I found that the cooling unit was twisted. i thought that perhaps it best to remove it, clean it and the processor and put it back with IC Diamond which someone recommended. When I removed the cooling unit I was surprised that there was a gray paste (I assume it is cooler master) on the MB processor socket. I was able to get it off of the cooler although it is hard to get it out between the copper tubes. What concerns me is that the past is in about 8 of the MB socket holes towards the edge. I did my best to clean up using q-tips and coffee filters with 91 percent Isopropyl Alcohol and denatured ethanol. But, there is no way to get the paste out of the holes. Luckily, I was able to get the paste out of the processor pins although I think there is some paste under between the heat sink and processor. I don't think it wise to soak it in the ethanol. I am afraid the board is toast. I saw all sorts of posts...sewing needles, alcohol, high pressure air. I am afraid to try those. Any thoughts or experience would be appreciated.
  2. Thermal paste under heatsink

I am new at this. Whoever put paste used too much. When I tried to remove, it got under the heat-sink of processor. I could not get all of it out. Will this harm it. It also got in the socket! and I don't know what to do. I am afraid to get it too wet with absolute alcohol, although it is probably alright.
