    Quickfire Rapid-i problem

I got brown switches, in my country "The Netherlands" they only have it in brown. But luckily that was the one I would go with anyways. At default I keep the LED's on because I mostly game in the evening, so the amount of hours it's turned on and the life exepctancy related to that - is still looking good so far. Hopefully it will stay that way. (Lowest brightness setting though, otherwise it distracts too much). I modified the keyboard a bit, I managed to reduce the "ping" noise from the spacebar by putting a very small cotton ball in the stem of the switch (in the '+' part). Also there is a gap to the PCB board underneath the spacebar, I filled that with transparent tape, so no dust would go in there. I didn't replace any keys or whatsoever, I am happy with it as is.

    Quickfire Rapid-i problem

I posted at "Posted 01 May 2015 - 11:01 AM" in this thread saying I have the Quickfire Rapid-i for two weeks. Well, still have it and use it everyday and no dead LED's! It seems I got one from a good batch? Anyways, still very happy about mine Quickfire Rapid-i. Edit: I have to add that I never travel with my keyboard, it is stationary on my desk the whole time. Unless I clean my desk I move it aside a bit. So maybe people that move the keyboard in backpacks and such get these issue's? I wouldn't know for sure.

    Quickfire Rapid-i problem

The "ping" sound also comes from my spacebar. Which makes it sound like a blue Cherry MX even, I don't find it annoying, nor comfortable. It's weird that the spacebar sounds so much different than the default keys. I don't have the issue with other keys though, so only the spacebar for me. Got my Rapid-i keyboard now two weeks, no dead LED's yet. But CM claims that this new batch (including mine?) doesn't have these LED issue's. - Edit: Oh and I never move my keyboard. It's always on my desk, so I don't use the mobility aspect of the keyboard. Which can, in my opinion extend the longevity of the LED's. (Instead of being pressed when your keyboard is in a bag or something).
  4. Probably in the same country as you. The Netherlands. I'm looking for the Quickfire Stealth version (TKL) with the US-Layout (Long shift, One row Enter) and Cherry MX Browns. That would really make the ideal setup! We currently only have the Quickfire Stealth TK, which is not based on the generic TKL format. Currently the Quickfire Stealth is being available on Massdrop for $ 64,99, but this includes only US/Canada shipping. Would love to have the QFS here in the Netherlands!

    Quickfire Rapid-i problem

If only the regular QuickFire Rapid's with no backlighting or the QuickFire Stealth TKL were available. I only hear bad stories about the Rapid-i with leds and personally, I'm not really fond of backlighted keyboards.
  6. Hello CM community, I've been researching quite some time about Mechanical Keyboards in general and it stroke me that the availability of certain CM boards are very limited. For example: - The promised Quickfire Rapid-i [QFRI] Blue's/Red's switches with corresponding lighting are still not released after a year of the Browns; - The Quickfire Rapid-SI (Stealth version of TKL Intelligence) not released after a year, after the announce at CES 2014 (A year listed on the website, but not even released? Why not delete the Rapid-SI then?); - The Quickfire Stealth TKL seems discontinued, only a couple left at amazon; - The regular Quickfire Rapid seems discontinued, only a couple left at amazon. Why do I ask this question? Because I wanted to buy the Rapid-i here in The Netherlands. But I found out that LED's tend to break sometimes after a month, half year or a year. Well you can request an RMA for repair, but what if they break after 2 years of warranty? And you can't use your keyboard for a few weeks when it is out for repair. So I am searching for a Cooler Master TKL (tenkeyless) keyboard with no backlighting and preferably Brown or Red switches. Because I am not really fond of backlighting. I would like a simple TKL keyboard under 100 euros/dollars. I am not interested in the "TK" variants, I find them odd in use (I tried at a friend's house) and the FN button which you need to hold to use certain additional functions is not really a clever designing decision. There are no other TKL keyboards out there with better price/quality wise, not as good as the Cooler Masters. For instance, Ducky's are similar in quality but too expensive. Filco ditto, Razer has no durability, Corsair has worse build quality. So CM Boards are the best, here, I can say it as free marketing lol. But the stock/availability is really bad. Massdrop with his Quickfire Stealth's at $65 ended and probably won't start anytime soon again... I find plenty of Quickfire Stealth video's on youtube which are over 1 year old (Tek Syndicate, JayZ, Newegg), but the board isn't available, feels very weird to me. All this to promote a keyboard that doesn't even exist anymore. My hope is that this question get's forwarded to the staff, so that they may realise that there is a demand for the new CM keyboards in Europe. I would like to know some ETA on shipments. I can't wait any longer really, if in 2014 was promised one thing and in 2015 still no new deliveries arrived - it looks bleak.
