  1. I know. I should finally move on to ceramic paste, to avoid most of the issues concerning silver-based pastes.
  2. Understood. I hate this thermal paste part of computer assembly.
  3. Hello everybody! Bought myself a CM Hyper 212 Evo cooler and used the paste that came with it. Due to a mistake on my part I managed to spread thin lines of thermal compound on my MB (very stringy compound). I managed to clean the most of it but it sill left some traces between some contacts on my mobo. Now I'd like to know if this compound is silver based or ceramic. If it's the latter then it's not such a big deal because it doesn't conduct current but if it's silver based then I should definitely get some cleaning solution and should try to remove it all. Tried finding any information about the cooler but to no avail. Thanks in advance for any input on that matter.
