  1. Hey chaps... OK what i'm after is a CPU coller that is silent for a socket A... I'm currenly using the Aero 7+ but its the only thing on my computer that makes a noise... So what would you recommend? cheers, Phil
  2. for them people that have digital sound and the Cavalier 1 case this will come in usfull to know. When you are wiring the sound gage up dont put the digital wire into the output jack that you got with the tower (even know that sounds like the more logical thing to do...) but insted wire you speakers up the normal way. Then put the wire leading the the input to one of the normal analog jacks on the sound card, you dont need anything in the output. I just thought i'd post this so if anyone else had the same problem as me with the gage not working with digital sound. Cheers, Phil [edit] Heres a pic of what i mean. The orange wire is my digital wire in the digital jack (yes on my soundcard) the black wire is pluged into one of the normal analog jacks going into the input.

    Thank you coolermaster

just a little thing i noticed... your motherbourd needs a screw in the bottom left (below you pci slots) that way when adding/removing cards its less strain on the motherbourd because its held down but nice case and the drive thing.. keep it that way just get external drives N~Joy your case

wow posts dont half drift off topic here... right that error only shows when the program first loads and you click the taskbar icon, so basicly if i load the program then click the icon before it displays the screen it gives me that error... so may be an if statment is in order? that will stop the error by coming up... this still dose not solve the max/cur hdd rate... but just thought i'd let you know what i found

thats off my edit above, just another question that dose not really bother me... and yes my system specs.. OS: Windows XP Pro SP2 Processor: AMD XP 2600+ Memory: 1 gig DDR 333 Graphics: NVida Geforece FX5700LE (256 meg) Motherbourd: Jetway Polaris 400 HDD: Master, Seagate SATA, 80 gig, 7200RPM Secondary: IDE 20gig (not sure about its specs) Case Fans: 2 x Neon LED Heat Sink: Aero 7 If theres any other specs you want let me know [edit] just round this info that might be of some use Windows XP SP2 breaks .NET Published: 1 May 2004 A new update of Visual Studio .NET will be released at the same time as Service Pack 2 for Windows XP. The reason is the tightening of security that SP2 implements: network protection, memory protection, email security, and browsing security. From a developer’s point of view the most important changes are to RPCs (Remote Procedure Calls), DCOM and memory execution protection. These changes could cause applications to stop running if good design practices haven’t been followed. The surprise is that VS.NET is affected, and after installing SP2 the debugger no longer works because the Windows firewall is now turned on by default. The new memory protection features in SP2 require developers to mark their code with memory execution permissions. This affects the .NET Framework, and this too will have to be updated. A dedicated page on the MSDN web site aims to help you understand the impact of SP2 on applications including code samples.

nar it takes ages to wait for it to install and intergate all my components so how long would it take to intergate everthing else when it uninstalls? also just hought i'd ask while i was here... I'm using one of the coolmaster heatsinks... ... sb-v73.asp Now if i connected it to fan1 on the cooldrive would it override the speed? its just that with Aero 7 it has a knob that alows you to set the speed...

yes that is how i have it layed out becuase the wire would not reach the back on the computer so i used the other wire and just pluged it into one of the USB sockets. [edit] i'm talking about the wire to connect the cooldrive to the computer so that the os can detect it, and yes my os is detecting it as currently working

    Cool Drive 6

Hi i just got cool drive 6 and i'm very happy with the product but i would like to say the following surgestions... 1) the USB wire could be a little longer, my reason for saying this is that most people that will buy cool drive 6 will have a customized computer like my self and that have a 4 bay tower, now the wire will not go to a USB port to the back of the computer due to it being to small in length.. 2) In the manual when it is telling you how to apply the thermal pad, i found this very hard to understand... may be make it more clear? well thats just my thoughts on this product. One qestion, on the software i see "SPEED&SPACE" now on mine it dose display the max/used space but not the current/max speed... dose anyone know how to fix this? I have tryed going into the config section and then clicking scan but its just the same. any help/thoughts on the aboce i would like to read. thanks, Philly [Edit] just about my question... My HDD is SATA (serial ata) and not IDE but the manual dose say that it is supported.
