  1. Was just spitballing. I realize a good portion know what they are doing, some do not. As for the Q/C of this company, sheesh. I had to make a separate ground for the PCB and even had a friend of mine with slightly better soldering skills and chip compatibility understanding replace a few parts and one chip on the controller so it would not get angry at other software and fight with the Mobo controller as the case slave board does not always agree with the other manufacturers programming, again, something that should have never passed Q/C without heat sinks on this case controller as some Mobo will not agree with it. The controller is also very cheaply made and will not take a lot of extra draw and results in more heat and eventually a burned out board or one that goes crazy on you. There are far better fan/argb controllers out there, I suggest replacing this garbage with one, I did. Coolermaster should have given a decent controller with the cost of this case.
  2. No need to remove the rubber pads on the puter. just buy some furniture coasters, they come in all sizes and are very cheap, a few bucks. These are small concave "carpet slippery" plastic or some other material used to move furniture on carpet or protect floors from wood or metal furniture legs. 4 of these in the one or two inch diameter quickly attach to the bottom of the rubber pads easily. There are literally hundreds of brands and thousands of types, plus it is much better than dragging a chassis bare on the carpet (not that you should have your puter on insect and dust :) to begin with, my opinion)
  3. This is old but should help. Coolermaster quality control is very bad. What you need to do is remove the front led panel (no screws to remove), let it tip forward. Look at the top contacts and the bottom contacts on both sides, if all appears to be in place and not missing or pushed back, let the front panel tilt forward all the way and lift up slightly, it will separate. Take apart the front case panel (requires screw removal) and check the wiring top and bottom behind it to ensure the small connectors are indeed connected, do not pull the main case panel to far away after you unscrew it as there are a few connections. Make sure there are no pinched or cut wires, at which point you will be in an rma situation. In my case the top power switch would not illuminate and it was the bottom set of wires, small snap connector that was not connected at all behind the main case panel that was screwed on. I was lucky and simply snapped them together and everything worked. Be careful when shoving all those wires back into that tight fit and then screwing that main case front back on before putting the front panel back on to it. Again, the front led panel does not require screw removal, the front case panel does Bonus advice: If you are not mechanically inclined and have no rudimentary electrical skills, take a month or two and learn, life will be easier, it does not take a degree, just do not be lazy and expect everything to go your way all the time, be gentle when placing the screws back in and do not over tighten them, the screws go into plastic and sheet metal and just require a gentle snug of a few INCH pounds of torque which is a very tiny amount compared to the average person taking a screwdriver and using all their pent up anger to trun a screw into a flimsy setting as they hope for that satisfying resistance and the driver not wanting to rotate anymore. This will not happen and that screw and the driver you use will rotate happily forever as you strip the threads. Do not tighten everything down until all screws are attached. Just some fyi.
  4. Browsing through some posts, was this ever concluded? Did you ever receive help or your part?
  5. Newegg is now owned by china and has been for a few years, the primary reason the customer service, like coolermaster, is so bad. When either newegg or coolermaster tries to remove my posts or not reply I have the luxury of good lawyers to cost them some funds in legal fees as punishment. They get in contact with me very quickly after that. I suggest you utilize the BBB, the FTC or the consumeraffairs.com site if you cannot afford friends to help you. Since newegg is no longer an accredited business the only way to get their attention is to hurt their already damaged image further and cost them lots in legal fees. Now unless you can spend the money I do on lawyers you will not get the results I do but you can leave some strongly worded complaints (que laughter). On the sites mentioned above do not include your own passion or use vulgarity or appear childish in that you cannot control your anger or you will look foolish and not be taken seriously. This is not legal advice, just what I do to "clear things up" when a business decides after the purchase I am no longer worth their time. Be precise, leave bullet comments and then a solution that is in keeping with the EULA or TOS you had to click through to purchase or use your product when contacting these consumer help companies. With china being the owners of both newegg and coolermaster you have a problem, the chinese communist party controls everything. While the communist party does not interfere in the day to day workings of small companies like newegg and coolermaster, those owners do have guidelines they must follow, this is the primary reason the customer support and service in both companies is so abysmal, these companies know other countries can rarely pressure their sovereign nature legally and just generally blow off threats or bad publicity unless you can show them you can hurt them financially or provide bad, high visibility press. To any moderator reading this, no part of the current TOS has been violated, no legal advice has been given, I just reference my procedures and some suggestions. Removal of this post will result in action from my company regarding international obligation and law regarding product warranties and communications. These posts and replies or removals will be forwarded to my lawyers. Have a nice day folks. I will even make a post regarding a product and show you what happens if it does not get answered by executive customer care in it's response. Note that with the current viral pandemic caused by china, help timelines will be much longer. But then chinese business authorities have informed me that businesses are starting back up in china, so it should not be too bad.
