ML240R COMPATIBLE WITH ASUS AURA SYNC?

Never, never, never, never, never, never buy the ML240R. Never. I had to exchange 5 units! The first two had screws with misaligned screw threads so they couldn't be fitted. On the third one, the lower radiator fan failed with no symptoms causing a massive overheat that could have fried my 8700K, 1080Ti, Gskill TridentZ, system. The CPU had been at 77 degrees while gaming without me knowing. The components inside the case were too hot to touch. You literally could not rest your finger on them. The fourth one came with non functioning lights out of the box. The fifth one came with non functioning control box. Remember swapping each of these coolers requires taking out the cpu and cleaning the TIM off it as well. Check the Coolermaster forums. They have given up. There are just people posting swear words because no one from Coolermaster is replying. The admins have given up. Never buy this. Save your systems life. I'm gonna get an X62 and swap out the fans for rgb versions on Monday. I just hope I can place the X62 rotated so the tubes stick out on the top side on the CPU. We'll see.

Ml240r and Other cooler master rgb fans

    ML240R LED controller is junk!

Your fault for buying Cooler Master products. Buy from a respectable brand next time.

    Can't use rgb software

No one cares. It's been a month since you posted this. Just sell the cooler and buy another brand.
  5. So I installed RGB LED CONTROLLER software 1.06. And I get the message "Please connect your CM device" ?????????????????????????????????????????????? Why doesn't this work? I've hooked up the little black box with the magnet that was in the ML240R just like the manual says. ?

ML240R COMPATIBLE WITH ASUS AURA SYNC?

Coolermaster is a joke. Never buy their products. "Plug in your CM device to get started",... it's already plugged in. What a worthless company.

ML240R COMPATIBLE WITH ASUS AURA SYNC?

Cooler Master MasterLiquid 120 and 240R are NOT compatible with Asus motherboards (Aura). Beware before you buy.
  8. Same problem here. If you are thinking of buying the Cooler Master MasterLiquid series because they look cool then think again. No one from Cooler Master is replying. The fans DO NOT work with Asus Aura.
  9. I am using the ML240R as described in the manual. The RGB cable from the CPU cooler into the 2nd ARGB slot. The RGB from the two fans (joined with the splitter cable) into the 4th ARGB slot. Exactly like the manual says. Then powered by the USB slot. ( I don't use the SATA slot). Problem 1: The Lighting Control software (ARGB_Lighting_Control_Software_v0.0.86.zip) will not let me specify 2 connections to 1 ARGB point. So I can only specify 1 of the RGB fans into the 4th ARGB point on the controller box. Problem 2: The "Motherboard" option turns the leds off. There is no link to the Asus motherboard and Aura. I am using (Maximus X Apex). All the other lighting options work fine. The Aura plug in on the main menu of the app also is not clickable. Problem 3: If you start the Coolermaster Lighting Control software and then close it, the leds switch on. It doesn't matter if you turned them off in the app or whatever you did. Close the app=Lights turn on. If you never open the app (and you had turned off the lights in the app on the previous reboot) the lights stay off IF you don't open the Lighting Control app. I realise the software is new and I really like the products, but I am wondering how to solve these three problems.
