  1. It looks like a problem with keyboard itself. HW problem, probably soldering. Easiest would be if you return KB to seller and get new one. Possible problem, not fixable without warranty void. If switch works properly, most probable is bad soldering on LED. Change backlight to continuous mode and try pressing that key. Occasional flashing confirms problem with soldering...
  2. Hello, I posted about backlight flicker problem here: It could be easily fixed for mode when all keys are backlit with same intensity. AFAIK, there is no possible fix for other modes, just improvement when muxing frequency would go higher. (hw limitation) It is pity, that bottom characters are not backlit, only top ones. I use combined part on right as non-numpad. Unfortunately INS, DEL, HOME,... are dim and unused numbers are backlit. This is keycap design and LED placement limitation. Only some smart keycap design in future can fix this. And last problem I noticed, some keys ring on release. In my case: X, END, " It happens on release. Maybe problem with switch springs? I use Linux, so flashing FW with windows app could be problem, but doable.
  3. Hi I am new to this community and I don't know if this is correct place to ask. My Masterkeys pro M (white leds) kb backlight flicker. Frequency is 150Hz to be precise. This is damn too low. Measured with oscilloscope and light sensitive diode. MAX backlight: MID backlight: MIN backlight: From this review is evident, there is one 16 channel PWM driver to handle all keys backlight. The only way to achieve it is by multiplexing it between different groups of LEDs. When LED is off, other groups are served. So main PWM is running around 4kHz, but multiplexing on 150Hz. I understand this limitation, but multiplexing is not necessary when whole kb is backlit with same intensity. I would be really grateful if CM can modify FW to not mux in "all keys backlit" mode. Faster muxing would fix it too, but IDK if PWM driver can handle such quick changes. There is HW mod way too, but when FW can fix it.... FW mod like spite did would be possible too, but I believe CM can handle this. Any ideas? Opinions? xorly
