  1. Project VEGA

Hello everyone! This mod is dedicated to the exploration of space and made specifically for CM Case Mod World series 2017. 99% of the fresh mod projects are absolutely identical rectangular boxes with different lighting and liquid cooling system - if you rapidly flip through the pictures, one gets the impression that the same system unit to change the illumination color. Such a depressing state of Affairs is not very inspired. Maybe my mod has issues, but I think it will be remembered and will stand out from some of the same styling mods. Even knowing my passion for the cutting tool, Cooler Master is not afraid to provide MasterCase 5 for modding. The main feature of this worklog is this videos (Hope you enjoy it and you be inspired to mods creations): Begins to emerge a General view of the project. Is manufacturer of decorative grilles from aluminium strip, the organization of ventilation of the case. Will also work with Plexiglas, installing ledlights, and painting a couple of elements. All work is carried out under the close supervision of the chief of quality control Department Mounted power supply, it is installed LED lighting. Also there is a refinement of ventilation and decorative items and their color. A lot of work with plexiglass, painting, making stencils. The power supply has a very dense arrangement, the side walls have an asymmetrical stamping - all this made it difficult to install it in a highlight. Cassette player VEGA gave a chocolate bar, it is still in working condition Modding PC. Project VEGA continues... In this video has installed the legs, which are made in the form of the tail of the missile (the airplane). Made therein under the motherboard and CPU Cooler. To facilitate access to M. 2 SSD and the cooler holder is made of a special window. Not without RGB backlight. In order to remove the wire made a special casing with vents and a protective mesh. Most of case parts painted (several coats of primer, about 6-7 layers of paint, highlighting edges and 2 coats of varnish). So coming to the end of the VEGA modding project. In this video You will see the manufacture of the mounts for SSD drives and their installation. Completed the tail of the spaceship, improved ventilation and the final painting of the hull. Cat are not allowed to moonlight at all stages of works) The project was originally designed to participate in Cooler Master Case Mod World Series in 2017, I hope You will support VEGA in the contest. The project's name, gave a successful space program, aimed at the study of Venus and Halley's comet. The name of the program comes from two words: "Venus" and "Halley". In this study, was created by two spacecraft, VEGA-1 and VEGA-2, which was successfully launched from the Earth in 1984. This program was unique in its kind, since its aim is to study the comet at close range (Halley's comet flies close to Earth every 76 years).

Thanks a Lot! It means a lot to me! I hope I made this project quite unusual and memorable

Thank you so much! Indeed, the project took a huge amount of time and effort. Everything from start to finish made by hand by one person.

There are two references to the name: 1. Vega, also designated Alpha Lyrae (α Lyrae, abbreviated Alpha Lyr, α Lyr), is the brightest star in the constellation of Lyra, the fifth-brightest star in the night sky and the second-brightest star in the northern celestial hemisphere, after Arcturus. It is relatively close at only 25 light-years from the Sun, and, together with Arcturus and Sirius, one of the most luminous stars in the Sun's neighborhood. Vega has been extensively studied by astronomers, leading it to be termed “arguably the next most important star in the sky after the Sun.” Vega was the northern pole star around 12,000 BC and will be so again around the year 13,727 when the declination will be +86°14'. Vega was the first star other than the Sun to be photographed and the first to have its spectrum recorded. It was one of the first stars whose distance was estimated through parallax measurements. Vega has served as the baseline for calibrating the photometric brightness scale, and was one of the stars used to define the mean values for the UBV photometric system. Vega is only about a tenth of the age of the Sun, but since it is 2.1 times as massive its expected lifetime is also one tenth of that of the Sun; both stars are at present approaching the midpoint of their life expectancies. Vega has an unusually low abundance of the elements with a higher atomic number than that of helium. Vega is also a variable star that varies slightly in brightness. From Earth, Vega is being observed from the direction of one of these poles. 2. The Vega mission was a Venus mission which also took advantage of the appearance of Comet Halley in 1986. The twin spacecraft, Vega 1 and Vega 2, were named after Venera-Gallei, and the spacecraft design was based on the previous Venera 9/10 missions. The two spacecraft were launched on December 15 and December 21, 1984, respectively. Arriving at Venus in June 1985, each spacecraft deployed a 1500 kg descent module towards Venus and the main spacecraft were then retargeted for a Comet Halley encounter in March 1986. The descent modules split into two parts, a lander and a balloon package, and entered into the atmosphere of Venus on June 11 and June 15, respectively. The balloon from Vega 1 lasted 56 minutes, and the Vega 2 balloon transmitted data for 46.5 hours. Both landers reached the surface of Venus and returned valuable data about the atmosphere of Venus and its soil composition. After the successful Venus balloon and lander mission, the mother spacecraft continued on to a rendezvous with Comet Halley. Both Vega 1 & 2 were three-axis stablized spacecraft. The spacecraft were equipped with a dual bumper shield for dust protection from the comet.

  23. Good Day to All! I shoveled a bunch of sites with fresh modding projects and 99% of the projects are absolutely identical rectangular boxes with different lighting and liquid cooling system - if you rapidly flip through the pictures, one gets the impression that the same system unit to change the illumination color. Such a depressing state of Affairs is not very inspired. One evening came across an old book of a series of BattleTech - and had the idea to make the body in the form of a robot. Thumbing through the drawings at the end of the book and looking at pictures/screenshots/renders of the Mech Warrior games, I thought it was quite doable. The idea is not new, but such projects are few and interesting among them one. Robots in some part do not have complex shapes, also to make it possible from the available materials improvised tools without using CNC, workshop machine tools and other expensive equipment. Making a few sketches of the layout of components, I decided to stop at format motherboard mini-ITX, because even in the transition to a micro-ATX case case began to become just huge and heavy. Work in progress... Here's my video-logs. Hope the video will not tire and You will get pleasure from viewing: Part 1: Part 2: Trailer
